POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager of Talent Development will be responsible for leading learning solutions that enhance Alterra’s leader & managerial effectiveness, focusing on the creation, management, and continuous improvement of professional and leadership development programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and development, a strong track record of designing and delivering effective learning programs, and a proven ability to motivate and engage employees.
This position requires in-person collaboration & requires being on-site at our Denver office 2-3 days per week.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and facilitate learning experiences aligned with Alterra’s future competency model and career pathing program
- Design and facilitate professional development programs to strengthen managerial skills, capabilities, and leadership capacity
- Design and facilitate learning programs that address critical skill gaps needed to drive Alterra’s success
- Consult with and provide coaching to internal teams around effective professional development programming
- Evaluate performance to assess areas where upskilling or cross-training is needed
- Facilitate Alterra’s virtual leadership development program, designed to accelerate the impact of high potential Managers
- Develop and curate engaging learning resources manuals, guides, and training materials
- Assess the effectiveness of programs through feedback and performance metrics and provide expertise on program changes.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Employ instructional design principles and techniques
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and recommend effective learning solutions
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in learning and development
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to navigate challenging dynamics
- Ability to work across multiple projects and effectively prioritize
- Self-starter who is able to work independently
- Calm under pressure and solution-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team player; proven success and passion for building and sustaining strong relationships with team members, employees, and stakeholders
- Professional/lived experience working in a culturally competent manner with a broad range of people
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience facilitating professional and/or leadership development programming
- Experience designing and delivering a variety of training solutions
- Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of the Company’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Denver area base salary range: $100,000 – $140,000 per year
