JOB SUMMARY
The Mgr, Sustainability - Data & Reporting supports the Corporate Services' organization for climate related measurement, management and reporting, as well as carbon neutral goal planning. This position is key to Charter's Sustainability department delivery on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data and leading our rigorous and cross-functional data collection and carbon reporting process to meet current and future external reporting standards. With an intense focus on data integrity, process consistency and reporting accuracy, this role will deliver cost effective, operationally efficient, environmentally conscious and value-added sustainable reporting and practices within business operations.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
  • Leads implementation and all processes related to configuring Charter's system of record for consolidated Scopes 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions data, dashboards and reportinG
  • Directly coordinates with and supports cross-functional stakeholders responsible for inputs, data and approval for the GHG emissions data
  • Manages the internal quarterly GHG data reporting process, including monthly meetings of all information submitters and approvers on the Climate Data Committee to ensure on-time delivery
  • Prepares and interprets GHG emissions reporting and trending, including reports of GHG inventory data in various formats (Excel, PPT, dashboards) and breakouts (by scope, by goal / targets and by business division) as needed by Sustainability, leadership, external reporting or internal teams
  • Manage data updates, visualization updates, data design and filtering requirements of Charter's GHG emissions management dashboard in close collaboration with Corporate Services Data Analytics & Reporting team
  • Support continuous process improvements, analysis, audits and reporting on GHG emissions data
  • Directly leads engagement with internal teams focused on business process, controls and audit to address any gaps and manage the resolution process to ensure all GHG emissions metrics meet associated internal and external requirements related to accuracy and completeness
  • Research individual topics related to GHG data protocols, regulations and international standards relevant to Charter's GHG methodology
  • Manage and ensure Sustainability department is responsive to employee inquiries
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Experience using online content management and collaboration tools (i.e., SharePoint)
  • Experience developing and reporting Scopes 1, 2 and/or 3 inventories
  • Familiarity and understanding of greenhouse gas emission accounting standards and guidelines (e.g., GHG Protocol)


Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental studies, Policy studies, Economics, Business, Data analytics or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
GHG accounting, and/or developing GHG emissions inventories or projects - 5+
GHG or sustainability management experience within an operationally complex industry, such as telecommunications, manufacturing, oil / gas, utilities - 2+
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Experience using data visualization and dashboarding tools a plus (i.e., Tableau)
Knowledge of the telecommunications, technology and/or connectivity industries
Preferred Education
GHG accounting, SASB FSA or other certifications
Working Conditions
Office environment
Some travel required, primarily for sustainability related conferences

The base pay for this position generally is between
$88,200.00 and $156,600.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
