What this position entails
The Manager, Strategic Alliances has the exciting opportunity to lead and scale our partner relationships across the organization. This role is responsible for defining partner strategy, establishing governance and operating standards, and ensuring that strategic relationships drive product innovation, growth, and strong financial outcomes.
In this highly cross-functional role, you will be a player/coach, working closely with Product, Legal, Sales, and Relationship Management teams to prioritize initiatives, manage performance, mitigate risk, and ensure alignment with company objectives. You will also serve as an executive point of contact for key partners.
What you will be doing
Partner Strategy & Governance
- Define and evolve the company’s third-party and strategic partner strategy, standards, and governance frameworks
- Establish clear operating models, decision rights, and accountability for partner relationships
- Ensure partnerships align with long-term business strategy and product roadmaps
Portfolio Prioritization & Execution
- Prioritize and oversee third-party initiatives across Irix, Curv, and Emerging Markets
- Balance near-term business needs with long-term strategic value
- Drive cross-functional alignment to ensure successful execution of prioritized initiatives
Performance Management & Risk Mitigation
- Own partner performance management, including KPIs, scorecards, reviews, and improvement plans
- Negotiate contracts with partners, including pricing, terms, and service-level agreements, to achieve favorable outcomes and mitigate risk
- Lead escalation management for underperforming or high-risk partners Proactively identify and mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks
Financial & Contractual Alignment
- Ensure strong financial discipline across partner relationships, including margin awareness and value realization
- Partner with Legal and Finance to ensure contracts align with commercial, risk, and financial objectives
- Monitor partner economics and recommend actions to optimize outcomes
Executive & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the executive point of contact for critical partners
- Build trusted relationships with senior internal stakeholders and external partner leaders
- Represent partner strategy and performance in executive and leadership forums
What we need
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 7+ years of experience building and managing strategic partnerships—across relationship management, business development, or related roles—ideally within SaaS or technology-enabled platforms
- Experience managing complex partner ecosystems across multiple business lines or products
- Previous people management experience

Financial acumen with an understanding of margins and partner economics
Demonstrated ability to influence and mobilize cross-functional teams—without relying on direct authority
Sound judgment and a track record of solving complex problems while proactively identifying and managing risk
Location
The expected application deadline for this job is May 18, 2026. This position is open to remote work. Applicants must be willing to travel to the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI as needed and travel nationwide for meetings, conferences, and team events (up to 30%)
Compensation
The overall salary range for this role is $117,500 - $222,985. For candidates residing in:
- Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the range is $135,125 - $222,985.
- All other states the range is $117,500 - $193,900.
A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
