Manager, Software Engineering
In Control For Commercial Payments is a system within the Smart Data Commercial Platform. We allow issuing banks to provide Virtual Card solutions for their Commercial customers by provisioning and reporting through our 3 channels of API/Batch/UI.
We are looking for a Manager to drive and lead scrum teams of dedicated team members to delivering on customer/platform commitments. Our systems are high availability/volume systems designed to deliver to a global network of issuing banks.
Who are we looking for?
As an effective manager at Mastercard you will have experience leading a team of developers, communicating with senior management/customer and solid experience in a development/architect role to anticipate and drive technical discussions with architects and business operations groups. Strong Agile experience is also something which the manager would be aware of and ideally have experience of driving within a technology organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Formally supervise and coach team(s)
Oversee effective development and delivery of software solutions
Drive positive change within systems/process to optimally deliver on commitments from the teams
Drive agile best practices amongst the teams ensuring the team is adhering to agile practices.
Communication of status/progress to product teams/customers/senior management
Technology
Experience with the following technologies is a distinct advantage:
Java/Spring/Hibernate
Web Services both RESTful and SOAP based
GIT VCS, Bitbucket
Less required but differentiator Agile skills are:
SAFe - Agile framework
Rally/ALM - Agile tooling
Previous experience in the financial services is also an advantage when it comes to compliance requirements such as PCI DSS.
