ROLE SUMMARY
The Cloud Transformation, Infrastructure and Enterprise Solutions (C-TIES) organization inspires innovations and powers Pfizer's growth as the technology engine that makes our enterprise operations possible.
The Cloud & Data Hosting (C&DH) organization within C-TIES represents the Digital Center of Excellence (CoE) for cloud infrastructure capabilities, providing foundational public and private cloud services to all business lines, globally across Pfizer. CNSS is a high-performing team, focused on delivering secure, compliant, and automated cloud solutions.
We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Hosting Delivery team-someone who takes full ownership of their domain and is driven to eliminate software errors, prevent user friction, and consistently meet or exceed delivery expectations.
In this role, you'll bring your solid development expertise, willingness to grow your fellow developers, and embody a DevOps-first mindset to ensure seamless, scalable, and secure cloud solutions. You'll have the opportunity to innovate across both public and private cloud environments, collaborating directly with clients to deliver infrastructure that just works-every time.
If you're the kind of software engineer who loses sleep over bugs in production and takes pride in delivering clean, reliable code on schedule, we want to talk to you.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Are you a creative developer who thrives on solving complex problems, building smart automation, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible with AI? Join Pfizer's Cloud & Data Hosting (C&DH) team-where your code powers the infrastructure behind life-changing science.
As a Software Engineer in C&DH, you'll be entrusted with access to Pfizer's cloud-based development and production environments. This role demands not only technical excellence, but also the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and operational discipline.
What You'll Do:
  • Automate Everything at Scale
Build scalable self-service automation for provisioning and managing cloud resources globally (AWS, Azure, vSphere). Think automated operations which are smarter and faster.
  • Write Code That Connects It All

  • Use AI to Move Faster
Leverage generative AI tools to prototype, test, and ship production-ready code that solves real problems-faster than ever.
  • Debug Like a Detective
Tackle complex issues in delivery automation. Whether it's a monitoring alert or a user-reported bug, you'll get to the root cause and fix it right.
  • Own What You Build
Provide L4 support for your automation. You'll be the go-to expert when things go sideways-and the one who makes sure they don't.
  • Work the Agile Way
Join daily standups, flag blockers early, and help the team stay on track for clean, on-time releases.
  • Document for Humans
Write clear, useful documentation that helps others understand, reuse, and improve what you've built.
  • Keep Leveling Up
Stay sharp by learning new tools, exploring emerging tech, and continuously improving your craft.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field with 4 years of experience , or Master's degree with 2+ years of experience or Associates degree with 8+ years of experience or High School diploma and 10+ years of experience with emphasis on development utilizing cloud technologies.

  • 3 years of Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and/or vSphere cloud experience.
  • 4 years of API experience - creating, evolving and deprecating.
  • Front end User Interface development with an obsession for smooth interaction and reliability for the user.
  • Candidates should be highly motivated and capable of working independently.
