The Team:
Airbnb’s public policy campaign team exists to further the interests of our community of hosts and guests with politicians, regulators, opinion leaders and others who shape the political and legal context for our business, helping them to understand the significant social and economic contributions of our platform. Across the region, we are engaged in hundreds of local conversations and negotiations with governments big and small. We engage governments at local, state, provincial and national levels directly and also use innovative advocacy and partnership strategies that actively involve our community and our stakeholders in making the case for fair, progressive home sharing rules.
Airbnb is seeking a Policy Program Manager, LATAM to join the Policy team. We are looking for an experienced organizational and administrative professional. This role is a full-time position and will report to the Director Policy LATAM.
Responsibilities:
Budget
- Work collaboratively with all budget owners to coordinate a regional budget tracking and forecasting system, develop and execute processes as needed
- Advise and assist budget owners on facilitating payments to vendors via management of contracts, purchase requisitions, and vendor relationships
- Develop and improve on processes with cross functional partners in relation to vendor payments
- Own relationships and regular communication with relevant cross functional teams primarily based in Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico
Campaign Operations
- Own the operationalization of the strategic planning process in consultation with the Policy Director, local policy teams and global policy operations, including the reporting and tracking of campaign priorities, objectives and OKRs
- Ensure that processes for regular reporting and progress updates are being delivered by the team (e.g. CRM maintenance) and that campaign achievements and milestones are being properly debriefed and shared with the necessary stakeholders.
- Assist the policy team with the regulatory products intake process, including the management of data-sharing reports, city portals, partnership agreements.
- Partner with local policy teams to manage deadlines for regional projects and tasks, collecting and sometimes drafting summary reports or readouts of meetings, and preparing quarterly newsletters.
- Identify operational roadblocks and bottlenecks – and best practices – making recommendations for process improvements that will increase the campaigns’ efficiency.
Strategy
- Provide strategic support to the Regional Director in developing and executing public policy strategies across the region.
- Serve as Latam Policy’s knowledge base, understand, shape, and advocate for the LATAM Policy team’s position on various global and regional initiatives (i.e. changes to community policies, launch of safety features, new product marketing rollouts, etc.)
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, including supporting a team in an administrative capacity
- Ability to exercise judgment and maintain confidentiality
- Reliable, prepared, responsive, eager to learn
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English as well as either Portuguese or Spanish.
- Knowledge and application of meeting collaboration tools, budgeting tools and excel
- Knowledge and interest in policy and communications work
- Strong prioritization and multitasking skills
- Acute attention to detail and follow through, high-level of organization
- Flexible with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as they arise
- Embraces change and challenges with a positive and solutions-oriented approach
- Great team player who is willing to take on projects big and small

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
