FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pay: $95,000-$105,000.
- Schedule: Monday-Friday.
- Employee Relations – Provide counsel for managers and supervisors on employee or labor relations issues including discipline, policy interpretation, harassment and discrimination, HR compliance, background checks, FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, Wage and Hour Law, I-9 compliance as well as other matters.
- Compensation - Ensure competitiveness and alignment with company’s job architecture. Conduct compensation analysis as needed. Workforce and succession planning – In close cooperation with the leadership, identify future resourcing needs, build succession plans and proactively identify resourcing options to close potential resourcing gaps.
- Recruitment – Support recruiting process for most senior/critical positions. Partner with Talent Acquisition to develop new sources to identify and proactively build a warm bench of talent. Participate in select interviews to assess internal and external candidates for key roles.
- Talent development – Manage talent review process, performance management, and employee development programs. Training – Support training initiatives. Conduct monthly virtual and in-person training and as often as business necessitates.
- Stakeholder Management - Liaise and develop relationships with organizational counterparts and Account leadership and staff. Deliver an exceptional quality of service, as reflected by stakeholder feedback.
- People Data Analysis - Compilation and analysis of people data to enhance awareness and drive decision making.
- Project Management - Partner with Director of People Partnering and Centers of Excellence in the execution and delivery of value-added HR services, including but not limited to strategic talent management (talent reviews, development, and succession planning), performance management, DEI, compensation planning, and project management, and overall employee engagement. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of services performed.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- This is a remote position, but you must be Midwest based: Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska.
- Must travel 1-2 times per month.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience supporting manufacturing environments highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of related experience.
- Professional HR Certification desired.
- Ability to travel once per month, or as business necessitates.
- Strong business acumen.
- Advanced Microsoft Office application, i.e. Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook.
- Exhibits excellent negotiating and influencing skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Savvy at building partnerships at all levels of the organization and must be viewed as a trusted advisor to the business. Possess a high EQ.
- Demonstrate confidence in coaching and influencing senior management.
- Strong understanding of financial implications and risks associated with talent decisions.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, highly matrix environment.
- Analytical with strong project management skills.
- Must have high energy, excellent communication skills, be professional and polished.
- Self-starter, able to work independently, takes ownership.
