This role involves leading payer engagement strategies, supporting payer programs, managing payer relationships, and ensuring compliance with policies, while mentoring junior staff.

The Manager, Payer Engagement will be a critical member of MCRA's Reimbursement, Health Economics & Market Access (RHEMA) team. This role will be focused on leading efforts in payer engagement & relations, coverage, payment, and commercial market access.
Responsibilites
- Develop payer outreach strategy and onboard new clients
- Support business development of new Payer Engagement programs
- Monitor payer medical and reimbursement policies and coverage decision updates. Develop, implement, and monitor initiatives targeting payer coverage.
- Engage with payers to understand and manage expectations for additional clinical/economic evidence.
- Ability to clearly articulate the client's clinical and economic value to help support positive payer coverage to key stakeholders, including but not limited to payers, specialty societies, reimbursement authorities, and providers.
- Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, payers, etc.; resolves any customer requests in a timely and accurate manner; escalates complaints accordingly.
- Provide strategic thought leadership around Payer relations
- Support the development of junior employees and provide management as assigned
- Adhere to all HIPAA compliance policies.
- Ensure all work products comply fully with standards, policies, and mission of MCRA.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Req
- 5+ years of related experience Req
- Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals.
- Knowledge and understanding of the fundamental processes of business, their interaction, and the impact of external/internal influences on decision making, growth and decline.
- Knowledge of consulting methods, tools and techniques, related to one’s functional area.
- Knowledge of current events and developments within an industry and major competitors.
- Knowledge and understanding of the marketplace.
- Knowledge of professional/trade associations, key people and companies.
- Effective time management skills.
