TITLE: Manager, IT
LOCATION: Maryland Heights, MO
JOB SUMMARY: Coordinate and direct the development, production, support, troubleshooting, testing and automation of Spectrum Mobile buyflows and enterprise level web services for backend. Coordinate with vendors and internal support teams on problem resolution, defects, design issues, and upgrades. Independently code, test, and debug new software and make enhancements to existing software. Direct and coordinate development, production activities, testing, and maintenance. Coordinate activities of unit with other units or organizations. Confer with high levels of management. Oversee the research and development of new products and procedures. Check technical accuracy of work produced by reports. Establish and ensure compliance with IT standards, policies, and procedures. Determine goals of team and create detailed plans to accomplish goals. Participate in hiring, training, and mentorship of managers, engineers/developers, and supporting staff. Write performance reviews and solve internal issues. Utilize Java, Microservices, Oracle Database SQL Database, and JavaScript. Mentor and train junior team members and act as an escalation point for all issues.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field. 3 years of experience in the following: in ETL development and data integration; in data modeling and utilizing data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling techniques; and in SQL and developing and integrating with Relational Database Management Software and NoSQL databases, and handling large data sets and performing database operations. 2 years of experience in the following: coding in JavaScript and utilizing Shell Scripting; and performing as a project lead in organizing resources and establishing priorities. 1 year of experience managing and overseeing a team.
