We are looking for a Manager, GTM Business Systems to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of our Salesforce, and related lead to order ecosystem. You will own how we price, quote, contract, and manage subscriptions across Salesforce, CPQ, and its key integrations, ensuring scalable processes and a frictionless experience for Marketing, Sales, Deal Desk, Provisioning, Customer Experience, and Renewals.
This role combines hands‑on systems expertise with people leadership. You will manage a small team of business analysts and administrators, set direction and standards for system configuration and governance, and drive cross‑functional initiatives that reduce quote errors, improve billing accuracy, and increase sales productivity.
Here's a closer look at this key role:
- Serve as the primary owner of Salesforce, CPQ and related tools and integrations.
- Define and maintain the GTM roadmap, balancing new capabilities, AI, tech debt, scale, and business priorities.
- Design and govern the product catalog, pricing, discounting, approvals, subscriptions, and renewals to support evolving go‑to‑market motions.
- Ensure CPQ logic and configuration are consistent, well‑documented, and aligned with company policies and commercial strategy.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of system administrators, developers and business systems analysts.
- Own goal setting, performance feedback, and career development for your direct reports.
- Establish clear ownership areas, working practices, and SLAs for how the team engages with stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of quality, documentation, and proactive problem solving within the GTM domain.
- Lead cross‑functional CPQ and quote‑to‑cash projects from discovery through design, build, testing, and go‑live.
- Partner closely with Sales, Deal Desk, Revenue Operations, Finance, Billing, and Legal to translate business requirements into robust, scalable system designs.
- Maintain and prioritize a CPQ / GTM backlog, ensuring work is well‑scoped, estimated, and aligned to business impact.
- Identify and recommend improvements and best practices related to system and process enhancements, including opportunities for AI enablement.
- Provide clear, executive‑level visibility into roadmap, risks, dependencies, and delivery status.
- Partner with integration and data teams to ensure accurate, reliable data flows between Salesforce, CPQ and downstream systems such as billing, revenue, and ERP platforms.
- Design and enforce standards for CPQ configuration, integrations, and change management, including regression testing and release management.
- Oversee data integrity, audits, and monitoring for CPQ‑relevant objects (e.g., quotes, subscriptions, contracts, usage, billing).
- Identify and remediate gaps or inconsistencies in how customer subscriptions and billing terms are represented across systems.
- Responsible for long term system, architecture, and AI recommendations, ensuring business continuity, scalability and competitive edge.
- Implement and maintain a control framework over CPQ changes (change management processes, approvals, QA).
- Proactively identify process and system improvements in the quote‑to‑cash flow and drive them from concept through implementation.
- Define, track, and improve KPIs such as:
- Quote accuracy / “first‑time‑right” rate
- Time to quote and time to contract
- Billing error rates tied to CPQ logic
- Adoption of standard offerings vs. custom/one‑off deals
- Champion clear communication and documentation for stakeholders regarding CPQ logic, changes, and best practices.
- 7+ years of experience in business systems, Salesforce, or revenue systems roles, including 5+ years focused on Salesforce CPQ.
- 2+ years of people management experience (or strong tech‑lead experience with clear readiness to manage a team).
- Deep, hands‑on expertise in Salesforce and CPQ configuration, including:
- Product and pricing configuration
- Discounting and approvals
- Subscription and renewal models
- Quote templates and document generation
- Salesforce Administrator certification required; Salesforce CPQ certification strongly preferred.
- Proven experience owning complex quote‑to‑cash or order‑to‑cash processes that span multiple systems (e.g., CRM, CPQ, billing, ERP, revenue recognition).
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional projects, manage competing priorities, and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to explain complex systems concepts in business‑friendly language.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to assess the downstream impact of system changes and design for scale.
Experience designing and operating governance and release processes for enterprise systems (change management, UAT, documentation, training).
