Manager, Growth Strategies & Initiatives, Ontario, Atlantic and Western regions
Are you a strategic, action-oriented leader with a passion for driving business growth across diverse markets? We’re looking for a Manager, Growth Strategies and Initiatives (OAW) to lead transformative initiatives across the Ontario, Atlantic, and Western (OAW) regions. This pivotal role supports both the Desjardins Agent Network and Direct Distribution, with a mandate to design and execute comprehensive growth strategies that enhance performance across all lines of business—including Property & Casualty Personal and Commercial Lines Insurance, Life Insurance, and Financial Services. As a key liaison for The Personal Insurance Company (TPIC), Desjardins Insurance, and Desjardins Agent Network (DAN), you will collaborate across functions to identify robust growth opportunities, diagnose challenges, and bring forward solutions that deliver measurable impact across the OAW regions. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Lead strategic planning and oversee the execution of growth strategies across all lines of business in the OAW regions, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and long-term objectives
- Develop deep market intelligence by understanding regional dynamics, business performance indicators, and competitive landscapes to identify and prioritize growth opportunities
- Foster a proactive and results-driven culture, thriving in an environment that demands initiative, innovation, and the ability to anticipate and respond to emerging challenges
- Continuously monitor performance metrics, assess the effectiveness of implemented strategies, and develop targeted follow-up action plans to optimize outcomes and performance
- Demonstrate agility and adaptability, maintaining focus on key deliverables while navigating evolving business needs and aligning efforts with strategic direction
- Drive effective communication, articulating a clear vision, managing transitions, and ensuring team alignment with long-range goals and organizational transformation
- Influence and inspire stakeholders across multiple business units and levels of the organization, building consensus and driving commitment to shared growth objectives
- Lead a high-performing team of professionals, overseeing the development of initiatives, fostering collaboration with internal partners (e.g., Actuarial, Underwriting, Marketing, Distribution), and ensuring excellence in client satisfaction

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of ten years of relevant experience including four years of management experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Experience in Property & Casualty and Financial Services
Advanced knowledge and comfortable using reporting suites and data tools (PowerBI, Excel, Powerpoint)
Intermediate knowledge of the Desjardins Agent Network
