Company Overview

US Sports Camps (USSC), headquartered in San Rafael, California, is the licensed provider of Nike Sports Camps. It was started in 1975 with the same mission that defines it today: to connect passionate coaches with young athletes to facilitate athletic and personal development in a positive and safe environment.

By partnering with the country’s best coaches to direct our camps and providing them with valuable operational and marketing support, USSC is the largest provider of sports camps in the world. USSC’s offerings include youth and adult camps across a wide range of sports, including soccer, basketball, baseball, volleyball, golf, lacrosse, softball, swimming, football and more.

Job Overview

USSC is currently seeking an experienced Manager of Growth & Camp Management to play a pivotal role in the continued growth of our Nike Soccer Camps division.

This person will own and grow a large portfolio of camp operators while helping us build smarter, more scalable ways of working as the division continues to grow. The role sits at the intersection of account management, business development and business operations, and requires someone who can manage a high volume of relationships and priorities while maintaining exceptional organization, follow-through and service.

Under the guidance of management, this individual will oversee existing partners, identify and close potential new collaborations, and work closely with the operations, customer service and marketing teams to ensure alignment and successful execution.

Success in this role requires competitiveness, resourcefulness, exceptional partnership management and, most importantly, an understanding of what has made US Sports Camps successful for more than 50 years: a full commitment to servicing our coaches and an unwavering passion for youth athletic and personal development.

The Job

  • Manage and nurture a high-volume portfolio of Nike Soccer Camp partners and key points of contact, with a focus on exceptional service, retention and growth.
  • Develop trusted relationships with partners, maintaining strong communication, organization and follow-through across a large number of simultaneous priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing operators through additional camps, locations, programming, enrollment and other revenue opportunities.
  • Expand the Nike Soccer Camps network through new best-in-class coaches, organizations and facilities, hitting target KPIs for operators and growth.
  • Build a strong understanding of camp economics, partner deal structures and margins, and use that understanding to make sound commercial decisions and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Forecast, allocate, and order products for camps (staff uniforms, t-shirts, prizes, etc.)
  • Provide high-level customer service and incident management.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and improve processes across the division, using technology, AI and data to help the team operate more efficiently and effectively.
  • Use data and reporting to monitor account performance, identify trends and opportunities, and support decision-making across the division.
  • Identify and establish strategic relationships with schools, clubs, coaches and other relevant organizations to expand the reach and impact of our camps.
  • Collaborate closely with camp operations, customer service and marketing teams to ensure partners are supported and camps are positioned for success.
  • Work with marketing to develop effective campaigns and strategies that resonate with target audiences and drive registration.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor offerings and customer feedback to make informed decisions that enhance our camp programs.
  • Represent US Sports Camps and Nike Soccer Camps at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities.
  • Lead and contribute to key divisional projects and initiatives that support growth, partner experience and operational efficiency.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder who is commercially minded, comfortable with data and technology, and naturally looks for ways to improve how work gets done. They should be comfortable selling, identifying growth opportunities and understanding the economics behind the business and our operators.

Experience within sports is important, while direct soccer experience is a plus rather than a requirement. We are ultimately looking for someone who can build trusted relationships, manage complexity, identify opportunities for growth and continuously improve how we operate.

  • Proven experience managing a large portfolio of accounts, clients or partners, with exceptional organization, prioritization and follow-through.
  • A process and scalability mindset, with a natural tendency to look for ways to simplify, automate and improve how work gets done.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to sell, influence, negotiate and communicate effectively with a wide range of partners.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to understand revenue, margins, deal structures and overall business performance.
  • Strong analytical and technical capabilities, including proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets and comfort using data to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Curious and comfortable adopting new technology and AI tools to improve productivity, processes and decision-making.
  • Proven track record in driving growth and cultivating relationships within sports, camps, youth programming or a related industry.
  • Experience within the sports industry and a strong understanding of the sports landscape. Soccer experience, knowledge and/or an existing network is preferred but not required.
  • A proactive and resourceful work style with the ability to manage a high volume of work, think quickly and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated passion for athletics and youth development.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to bring new ideas, challenge existing ways of working and contribute a different perspective to the team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

The Perks at US Sports Camps:

  • Competitive compensation package including base salary and bonus plan
  • A flexible vacation policy – “a just get it done approach”
  • Leading medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401K plus company match

This position can be remote with a preference of hiring someone in the SF Bay area.
