Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced and people-focused Engineering Manager to lead a talented team of engineers in delivering scalable, cloud-based software solutions. If you’re passionate about building high performing teams, driving engineering excellence, and still enjoy writing code from time to time, this might be the perfect role for you.

What you'll do

  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, creating an environment that fosters growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  • Develop individualized growth plans for junior engineers and provide thoughtful coaching and feedback for senior engineers.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of key engineering initiatives, such as improving CI/CD pipelines, observability, and developer experience.
  • Spend approximately 30% of your time contributing to feature development and helping solve complex technical problems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners in Product, Design, Platform, and Security/Compliance to ensure seamless execution and alignment.
  • Guide your team through the full software development lifecycle, championing Agile methodologies and continuous improvement.

Who you are

  • Proven experience managing and mentoring engineering teams in a cloud-native environment.
  • A strong technical background in full-stack development, including experience with distributed systems and scalable architecture.
  • Skilled at balancing hands-on coding with people leadership - a true player/coach.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code and modern DevOps practices.
  • Exceptional communicator with the ability to provide clear, actionable feedback and foster a psychologically safe, inclusive team environment.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, resolving interpersonal dynamics, and helping the team make pragmatic, high-impact decisions.

We are a distributed team with offices in Seattle, WA, Palo Alto, CA, New York City, and Denver, CO. Teammates have the option to work remotely from anywhere in the US or from one of our offices.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your dependents.
  • A robust 401K plan to help you invest in your future.
  • Access to Modern Health for mental health resources and support.
  • Monthly subsidies to cover your telecommunications needs and support your ongoing personal growth and wellness.
  • For those near one of our offices, an FSA Commuter/Parking Benefit and lunches when you’re working from one of our offices.
  • A family-first approach with 12 weeks of paternity leave and 18 weeks of maternity leave, ensuring you have the time you need with your new family members.

Not everyone will match the above qualifications 100%. If your experiences don’t perfectly align, but you think you’d be a great addition to our team, we’d still love to hear from you.

Productiv  is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status.
