ABOUT THE ROLE

Reports to: General Manager, WeRoad US

Type: Full-time, founding role

Location: Remote

Community is how WeRoad grows: travelers book after months of seeing the brand in person and online, typically 90 to 100 days from first touch. In the US we already run co-branded events with partners such as Tinder and Jigsaw, but they work one at a time and do not yet scale. There is no ambassador program, community strategy or playbook yet; this role builds them.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Own community-led growth end to end. Ambassadors, partnerships and online community, from strategy through execution.

  • Build the brand ambassador program. Recruit, train and manage a national network that represents WeRoad at events our team cannot staff. The goal is a program that runs events, not a person who runs events.

  • Land in-person partnerships. Source and close co-branded events with brands that reach our travelers.

  • Run online partnerships. Giveaways, co-marketing and other lead-generation programs with partner brands and communities.

  • Set the online community strategy. Reddit, Facebook, Telegram, whatever. Manage online communities of fans.

  • Measure it. With digital marketing, define how community activity is captured as leads and credited in our attribution model.

  • Write the playbook. Turn what works into a repeatable process.

Success in the first 12 months

  • A national ambassador program covering partner events without WeRoad staff present.

  • A documented playbook: ambassador model, partner criteria, channels and metrics.

  • Lead capture at every event, with community-sourced leads and bookings reported as their own line in the attribution model.

  • Each online community with a defined purpose, an owner and growth targets.

  • Quarterly lead and assisted-booking targets, set with the GM and tied to your bonus.

Who you are

  • A builder. You have built an ambassador or community program from zero and scaled it across multiple cities, with numbers to show for it.

  • A dealmaker. You have sourced and closed brand partnerships yourself.

  • Entrepreneurial. Much of this role is undefined. You can build the IKEA bed without the instructions.

  • Patient with a long cycle. You track pipeline and attribution, not same-day signups.

  • Bonus: Experience in travel, dating or social apps, and hands-on management of Reddit, Facebook or Telegram communities.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Direct report to the GM.

  • A lean US team. Sales and customer experience plus digital marketing.

  • Partners and communities to build on. Co-branded events with Tinder and Jigsaw, a Facebook group and a Telegram group for repeat travelers.

  • Autonomy. The US business runs independently of group headquarters in Italy wherever it can.

  • Evenings, weekends and travel. Community events run outside office hours and across cities. This is not a standard 9-to-5.

WHAT WE OFFER

Compensation: 95K OTE

Benefits:

  • 401(k) with employer matching

  • Health insurance

  • $1,400/year travel discount in our WeRoad trips!

  • Extra benefits – $1,000 wedding bonus, one-off bonus at 5 years, and ongoing learning opportunities.
