This role has the flexibility to be based out of any of our three corporate offices in North America (Oakbrook Terrace, IL; Toronto, Ontario; & Florenceville, New Brunswick).
JOB PURPOSE:
McCain Foods is seeking an experienced leader as Manager, Commercial and R&D Transformation to help drive our digital transformation program. Reporting to the Director, Commercial / R&D Transformation, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end processes involved in trade management, to enable an enterprise-wide approach to profitable sales growth. The role may also be called upon to take on broader scope initiatives in Commercial and R&D / new product commercialization space. This includes analyzing current state processes, designing future state processes and tools, standardizing the ways of working, as well as ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of process execution - all to enable a more digital future. The position will also play a crucial role in change management.
The role requires a solid base of understanding of global trade practices, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. Experience with new product commercialization is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Trade Management Transformation: Analyze current state regional processes, Design future-state global process and standard operating procedures (SOPs) and enable change in McCain regions. This includes overseeing requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment of technology to the business, to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
  • Strategic Business Partnering: Collaborate with stakeholders in Finance, Sales, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Digital Technology, and other critical functions to ensure that thedigital transformation supports strategic goals across the organization; and to drive standardization, optimization, and automation of our processes.
  • Performance Monitoring & Improvement: Oversee the continuous improvement of Trade Management processes by leveraging technology capabilities, ensuring that the new systems and processes deliver insights that drive decision-making and operational efficiency. Establish globally standardized tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to trade management.
  • Change Management: Drive change management efforts globally, ensuring that our teams are fully prepared and trained on the new systems and SOPs. Foster user adoption through clear communication and ongoing support.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Establish and maintain governance structures to manage risks, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies. Address issues proactively to maintain project momentum.
  • Digital Transformation Advocate: Act as a key advocate for digital transformation within the organization, ensuring that the new processes align with McCain's broader cost effectiveness and digital goals.


REQUIRED QUALIFICIATTIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in trade management or a related role
  • Ability to structure effective trade management practices in a collaborative cross-functional model, i.e. across sales, finance, marketing and supply chain
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and practices
  • Experience with Vistex
  • Experience in process mapping
  • Familiarity with R&D and new product commercialization processes is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Proficiency in trade management software and tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation Package : $97,500.00 - $130,000.00 CAD annually + bonus eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
