JOB SUMMARY:
Job Summary: The Quality Manager is responsible for supporting operations through education for both domestic and global service groups respectively. This role collaborates with both Domestic and Global Quality and Training & Education personnel to track and report quality trends driving education initiatives and tracking outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Works directly with Operations and Education leaders to support department objectives and assist the team in reaching performance goals
- Partner with Operations to perform analysis of trending reports and key metrics to identify potential root causes of errors and inconsistencies
- Proactively ward quality deficiencies with solution-based planning through education and monitoring
- Respond to identified errors punctually and in collaboration with any operational talent relevant to the issue
- Research, analyze, and respond to inquiries regarding appropriate coding, coding guidelines, and other queries fielded by the Education team
- Trains, instructs, and provides support to team members regarding coding compliance documentation, and regulatory provisions, and third party payer requirements
- Serve as a resource for clients on coding guidelines, interpretation, and educational needs.
- Maintains adherence to standardized, organization-wide policies and procedures
- Communicates with coworkers in an open and respectful manner that promotes teamwork
- Interacts with clients in a professional manner that promotes partnership
- Exhibits excellent relationship, work performance and communication skills to support the company and its business interests
- Maintenance of professional credentials and knowledge of coding, reimbursement and compliance issues through continuing education
Desired Qualifications:
- Prefer 3-5 years’ experience in coding with a focus on either quality or education, if not a combination of both areas
- Recognized coding credential from AHIMA and/or the AAPC
- Experience with telecommuting and managing in a remote environment strongly preferred
- Ability to work with multiple and diverse team members, client, and projects
- Ability to supervise and counsel staff in promoting their development to the success of the company
- Ability to problem solve; collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software and database software
- English is required for verbal and written communication
- Strong communications skills, both verbal and written

The ability to perform work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day and function in an environment with constant interruptions is required. At times, incumbents are subject to sitting for prolonged periods. Infrequently, incumbent must be able to lift and move material weighing up to 20 lbs. Incumbent may experience elevated levels of stress during periods of increased activity and with work entailing multiple deadlines.
