Outside is seeking a Manager, Client Services to lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering exceptional service and execution for our most important client partnerships. As Outside continues to grow, the complexity of our campaigns and expectations from clients are increasing. This role is critical to ensuring we can scale delivery without sacrificing quality—especially for our most important accounts.

This role is accountable for ensuring that every campaign—across digital, content, and integrated programs—is executed with precision, delivered seamlessly, and exceeds client expectations. You and your team will serve as the stewards of the client experience throughout the lifecycle of a campaign, identifying and resolving executional risks proactively.

As a leader, you will set the standard for service excellence—building a culture that values responsiveness, accountability, and ensuring campaign documentation is consistently error-free. You will empower your team to not only execute flawlessly, but to anticipate client needs, solve problems before they arise, and consistently deliver a high-quality experience that strengthens long-term partnerships.

You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Creative, Media Planning, and Ad Operations to ensure alignment, clarity, and operational rigor—acting as the central driver of execution and a key contributor to client satisfaction and retention.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and develop a team of Client Services team members (individual contributors), providing guidance on campaign execution, client communication, and professional development
  • Support workload distribution across the team to ensure all client programs execute smoothly and on schedule
  • Establish clear roles, workflows, and performance expectations
  • Coach team on executional excellence, prioritization, and stakeholder communication
  • Create a path for growth that does not rely on inflated titles

Campaign Execution & Delivery

  • Own end-to-end execution of key account campaigns across digital, content, and integrated programs
  • Drive custom content workflows, partnering with Editorial and Content teams to ensure high-quality branded content aligns with both client goals and Outside’s editorial standards
  • Ensure all campaigns launch on time, deliver in full, and meet quality standards
  • Identify and resolve executional risks proactively
  • Collaborate with Rev Operations to ensure digital media products launch accurately, deliver in full, and optimized accordingly
  • Oversee the development of comprehensive campaign recaps that highlight performance metrics, custom content impact, and ROI.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner closely with Sales, Creative Strategy, Media Planning, and Ad Ops teams
  • Build and enforce clear handoffs and workflows between teams
  • Serve as escalation point for execution challenges

Operational Excellence

  • Standardize processes across key accounts to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Implement tools, templates, and best practices for campaign delivery
  • Drive improvements in speed, accuracy, and scalability

Client Delivery & Experience

  • Ensure a high-quality client experience through flawless execution
  • Support Sales in delivering against client expectations (without owning the commercial relationship)
  • Maintain visibility into campaign performance and delivery status
Qualifications
  • 6+ years experience in digital media, advertising operations, or client services or equivalent practical experience
  • 2+ years managing teams or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-channel advertising campaigns
  • Proven ability to build and scale processes
  • Proven ability to ensure campaign documentation is consistently error free
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to thrive and have an impact in a dynamic environment

  • Clear, scalable processes are in place across key accounts

What We Offer:

Entirely remote jobs that could be performed in Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $75,000 to $95,000 USD.  Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission. Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away,  sick leave, and more.  This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
