About Kasa

Kasa is the leading tech-enabled hotel and apartment hotel brand and manager. Kasa has built a hospitality operating system that fundamentally improves the profitability of hospitality assets while delivering a high quality, digitally forward experience to guests. We partner with owners of multifamily and boutique hospitality properties to deliver stylish, professionally managed accommodations to business and leisure travelers alike. We took the best that hotels and short-term rentals had to offer and created a new class of hospitality that is well-priced, reliable, and offers a large selection of great locations.

Unlike traditional hotel operators, we prioritize automation, AI-driven pricing, and data-driven decision-making to optimize revenue and improve guest experiences.

The Role

We are looking for a Manager, Building Systems & Security who will oversee the physical security, environmental health and safety, connectivity, and essential services that power Kasa’s portfolio. This leader will oversee Kasa’s Physical Security, Wi-Fi, and Utilities functions.

In this role, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring secure environments, reliable internet service, and efficient utility management across all properties. You will guide security operations, manage vendor relationships, coordinate service setup during property transitions, and drive cost-efficient utility and connectivity solutions at scale.

You will report to the Associate Director of Hospitality Operations and support on-site portfolio teams nationwide.

About the Team

This role sits within the broader Hospitality Operations team, which delivers outsized impact on Kasa’s success by ensuring safety, reliability, and operational resilience. We are passionate about protecting our community, enabling seamless property operations, and delivering reliable systems that enhance both guest and team member experiences.

  • Maintain and refine security operating procedures, playbooks, and standards.
  • Support Community Safety in incident response and post-event reviews.
  • Develop and manage environmental health & safety (EHS) programs for on-site staff.

Wi-Fi & Utilities Management

  • Direct the team responsible for Wi-Fi and utility operations across all properties.
  • Manage start, stop, and transfer of services during property onboardings and move-outs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internet and utility vendors.
  • Track, reconcile, and pay monthly billing cycles; monitor balances and ensure accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot outages and coordinate with providers to restore service quickly.
  • Oversee Wi-Fi installations and ensure stable, property-wide connectivity.
  • Partner with Tech and Operations teams to resolve systemic connectivity issues.

Expense Optimization & Program Leadership

  • Audit usage and billing data to identify cost-savings opportunities.
  • Build dashboards to monitor spend, service reliability, and SLA compliance.
  • Develop playbooks and escalation protocols for utilities, Wi-Fi, and security programs.
  • Lead and develop direct reports while fostering high performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Launch, Finance, and Property Operations to scale building systems effectively.

Benefits

  • Remote Work: With flexibility as a core value, and over three-quarters of the team working remotely, Kasa employees are able to work from anywhere!
