Cerapedics has two drug-device products approved by the FDA powered by Cerapedics’ proprietary P-15 Osteogenic Cell Binding Peptide: PearlMatrix™ Bone Graft for all major lumbar interbody surgical approaches and i-FACTOR® Bone Graft for single-level anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) in the cervical spine. Cerapedics is headquartered in Westminster, Colorado.  

OVERVIEW

In this role, you will contribute to our mission by ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of our financial reporting and accounting processes, enabling the organization to operate efficiently, meet regulatory requirements, and support sustainable growth. As a Manager, Accounting – Compliance working on the Accounting team, you will be empowered through meaningful work and career development to lead accounting compliance initiatives, strengthen internal controls, support audits, ensure adherence to GAAP and regulatory requirements, and drive process improvements that enhance operational effectiveness. A typical day will include overseeing compliance-related accounting activities, reviewing financial records and reconciliations, partnering with cross-functional reams, supporting internal and external audits, monitory regulatory changes, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and controls.

  • Drive automation, artificial intelligence, and other process improvements, while supporting technical accounting research, financial analysis, close activities, and special projects. 
  • Manage federal, state, and local tax compliance; coordinate with external tax advisors to support the income tax provision and tax planning process. 
  • Own the Sunshine Act and CMS Open Payments reporting process, and the registration and renewal process for designated state and local healthcare professional (HCP) transparency reporting programs, partnering across functions to ensure complete, accurate, and timely submissions.  
  • Oversee timely secretary of state registrations, annual reports, and renewals.  
  • Provide coverage for critical accounting responsibilities when team members are unavailable.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND PREFERRED TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.  
  • Minimum of six years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, tax, or regulatory compliance experience.  
  • Experience with state and federal tax filings, state registrations, healthcare compliance reporting, or life sciences compliance strongly preferred but not required.

  • This position requires the incumbent to operate office equipment such as telephones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and to grasp objects utilizing manual dexterity including hand/finger coordination. 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: N/A 

BENEFITS/COMPENSATION (including, but not limited to): 

  • Medical and dental insurance, group life insurance, 401k matching, long term disability, potential target bonus, paid time off.  

SALARY RANGE: $107,000.00 - $155,000.00 

Base Salary: Annually 

Target Annual Bonus: Up to 15%
