About the Role

Evisort (now part of Workday) is searching for a Machine Learning Engineer with an impact-driven mindset and a strong product mentality. Our Data Science and AI team is at the forefront of research and development in AI, striving to push the boundaries of what is possible in natural language processing and machine learning. You will play a key role in building and deploying data-driven ML solutions into our AI/ML-powered document intelligence product. You will effectively engage with data scientists, ML engineers, PMs and architects in requirements elaboration and drive technical solutions. You must have a mentality of continuous improvement, passion for quality, scale, and security.

About You

What you will do:

• Contribute to advancing NLP and its applications, to create highly innovative products and customer experiences, ranging from text understanding and classification to information extraction.

• Build end-to-end products from the ground up, from data exploration through feature generation, model construction and deployment.

• Review and choose the best and most appropriate annotated datasets for the best-supervised learning methods.

• Independently identify AI/ML opportunities, define key product metrics and propose solutions to leadership.

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies in GenAI/LLM field and recommend improvements to existing AI models and products.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven experience delivering applied deep learning products in NLP (e.g., Named Entity Recognition, Question Answering), including taking a product through design, implementation, and to production

• 3+ years of developing Machine Learning driven features in Python with proficiency in deep learning frameworks (e.g., Tensorflow, Pytorch)

• 3+ years in fields of NLP via delivering enterprise-grade code with deep learning architectures (e.g., RNNs, CNNs, Transformers)

• 1+ years of experience researching (e.g., fine-tuning), prototyping, and productionalizing LLM-based solutions using frameworks such as Huggingface, Langchain, and LlamaIndex.

Other Qualifications

• Experience with Git or other distributed version control systems 

• Experience building Extract Transform Load (ETL) pipelines

• Experience in designing and crafting experiments, A/B testing and data analysis in the domain of quality metrics for machine learning services.

• Outstanding communication skills with ability to communicate results clearly to non-technical audiences with a focus on driving impact

• Experience using distributed processing architecture and ML/ Data platform (e.g., AWS Sagemaker, Databricks, Spark, Kubeflow, etc); building experience is a plus

• Experience with Computer Vision is a plus

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $147,200 USD - $220,800 USD

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $139,800 USD - $248,400 USD

If performed in Colorado, the pay range for this job is $147,200 - $220,800 USD based on min and max pay range for that role if performed in CO.
