The Role
As a Machine Learning intern, you’ll focus on and do research cutting-edge techniques in the NLP, Computer Vision and Generative AI space, implement them in a fast-paced environment, and ensure that they are integrated in a reliable and scalable way to bring real value to our users. By using predictive models, experimental design methods, and optimization techniques, you will drive your own project end to end that aims to solve problems that users are facing today.
What You'll Accomplish

  • Research ideas, methods, models, and algorithms that will drive innovation.

  • Take full ownership of solving a problem our customers have, including collecting training data, researching a modeling approach, and iterating on solutions.

  • Apply predictive modeling, experimental design, prompt engineering, and optimization techniques to address real-world challenges faced by customers.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, AI, or a related STEM field

  • Solid Algorithms, Data Structures and Distributed system design skills

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: deep learning, machine learning, computer vision, image processing, and natural language processing.

  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages: Python, Java, or Go.

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

  • Experience with data extraction, transformation, analysis and visualization

  • Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Bonus Points!

  • Experience with cloud environments like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure

  • Deep Learning experience with modern frameworks such as Tensorflow or Pytorch

  • Experience working on projects related to GenAI including building RAG pipelines, fine-tuning LLMs for domain-specific tasks, evaluating hallucination and response quality, prompt engineering for document understanding etc.

  • Working knowledge of RDBMS, SQL and NoSQL technologies.

The hourly rate for this position is $35-40/hr. The hourly rate offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
