  • Job Title : Machine Learning Data Scientist
  • Client: CCS Medical
  • Work: 100% Remote
  • Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire
  • Work Authorization: GC or USC only
  • Location: Remote (EST hours)
  • Engagement Type: Contract-to-hire

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Extract, clean, and analyze large structured and unstructured datasets
  • Design, build, and optimize machine learning models and predictive systems
  • Perform feature engineering, data preprocessing, and model evaluation
  • Identify patterns, trends, and opportunities within data to drive business decisions
  • Develop data stories and present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Build dashboards and visualizations (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Analytics, Operations, Marketing, and IT
  • Enhance data collection processes to improve data quality and usability
  • Ensure data integrity, compliance, and confidentiality (HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.)
REQUIREMENTS / MUST-HAVES
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning
  • Strong proficiency in Python or R, and SQL
  • Experience building ML models (classification, regression, clustering)
  • Strong foundation in statistics and mathematics (regression, probability, linear algebra)
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, matplotlib, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to solve business problems with data
  • Preferred: big data tools (Hive, Pig, Spark); Scala, Java, or C++; experience in regulated industries (healthcare, insurance)
