About The RoleThe RealReal is seeking motivated, self-driven individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for luxury goods. As a Luxury Sales Specialist (LSS), you’ll represent the brand in the field—prospecting, cultivating relationships, and building a loyal book of business with a high-end clientele. Your primary focus will be acquiring luxury consignment inventory from individual clients. This role is ideal for independent professionals who excel at networking, client service, and luxury sales.

What You Get To Do Everyday
  • Drive Consignment Growth: Leverage your personal and professional network—including stylists, personal shoppers, boutique owners, sales associates, and other contacts—to source high-quality consignments.

  • Build and Maintain Client Relationships: Cultivate long-term relationships with clients through trust, personalized service, and ongoing communication.

  • Execute Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement creative outreach and marketing efforts to attract new consignors and encourage repeat business.

  • Sales Performance: Consistently meet or exceed monthly quotas by driving key performance metrics and contributing to overall business growth.

  • Consignment Procurement & Logistics: Secure luxury consignment items from clients and manage the end-to-end coordination of pickup and shipment to The RealReal’s e-commerce fulfillment centers.

  • Deliver Exceptional Client Service: Provide a seamless, white-glove experience throughout the consignment process, ensuring satisfaction and repeat engagement.

  • Conduct Client Consultations: Present and review consignment contracts, explain terms clearly, and guide clients through the consignment process.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with the Consignor Relations team to proactively address and resolve any client concerns or issues.
What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a strong personal and professional network that can generate recurring consignment opportunities

  • Demonstrated passion for and knowledge of luxury brands across categories including women’s, men’s, fine jewelry, and watches

  • Proven ability to build trust and maintain relationships with sophisticated, high-value clientele through professionalism and business acumen

  • Strong sales skills with an entrepreneurial mindset, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service

  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly performance goals and sales targets

  • Comfortable using a variety of digital tools, platforms, and devices to manage workflows and client interactions

  • Willing and able to travel more than 70% within the designated market

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in outside sales, luxury retail, styling, or public relations

  • Active involvement in community or charitable organizations

This is a 100% commission-only role. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and/or benefits.
