Position Overview
The Logistics Manager is responsible for the oversight and execution of all domestic and international logistics, distribution, and fulfillment operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and on-time delivery. This role supports the logistics team, manages relationships with 3PL warehouses and freight forwarders, and drives continuous improvement in supply chain efficiency, cost management, and customer satisfaction. This is a highly hands on and execution focused manager responsible for implementing logistic strategies, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Operations Management
- Strategically plan and manage all logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer service operations.
- Direct, optimize, and coordinate the full order cycle, including inventory management, shipment scheduling, and documentation.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers, suppliers, and 3PL partners.
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies, including health, safety, and labor standards.
- Track PO and invoice performance, pricing, and OTIF delivery to ensure supplier accountability.
- Manage budgets for contract manufacturing, components, and samples, and communicate variances and risks to Finance.
- Support end-of-month close by ensuring operational data, cost inputs, invoicing records, and inventory valuation data are accurate and complete.
Process Optimization & Technology
- Implement and maintain logistics management systems and ERP platforms.
- Drive process improvements in shipping, receiving, packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Leverage data analytics to identify trends, forecast needs, and support decision-making.
- Oversee the integration of new technologies and best practices in logistics operations.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and customers to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, sales, finance, and customer service teams to align logistics activities with business objectives.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with contract manufacturers and packaging suppliers to ensure reliability, flexibility, and performance.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify and mitigate risks in logistics operations, including supply chain disruptions and compliance issues.
- Oversee the filing and resolution of freight claims for loss and/or damages.
- Ensure all logistics activities adhere to ISO and other relevant standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline required
- 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics or operations
- Proven ability to manage and build advanced Excel-based models to support planning, forecasting, and decision making.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, or similar), including item master governance and BOM accuracy.
- Demonstrated success in supplier performance management, capacity planning, and cost optimization in a consumer goods or wholesale environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including facilitation of executive decision-making.
- Experienced with international shipping and Incoterms preferred
- Willingness to travel to company 3PL locations throughout the U.S. and abroad as needed
Salary Range: up to $90-110k
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, knowledge and skills, and if the location of the job changes.
