Lead the integration and optimization of Passport’s domestic and international shipping programs in the US and Latin America. Own carrier relationships across all modes: domestic parcel (UPS, FedEx, USPS), LTL/TL (e.g. FedEx Freight), and air freight (both export and domestic). Establish a unified carrier management and pricing strategy for all legs of global shipments from origin to final mile. Lead Passport’s cross-functional TMS effectiveness. Build and launch a new US domestic parcel program aligned with our international model.
Success Factors
Within 3 Months:
- Complete onboarding and immersion in Passport’s global and domestic shipping models- Deep dive into our TMS capabilities. Identify and execute process efficiency improvements.
- Conduct full audit of current carrier relationships (domestic, LTL, air freight, international) and identify improvement opportunities
- Develop a draft roadmap to integrate LTL, small parcel, and air strategies under one cost-optimized structure
- Begin RFP process for new US domestic parcel program
Within 6 Months:
- Negotiate new or restructured carrier contracts with measurable cost improvements
- Launch US parcel program pilot with initial customers
- Deliver clear air freight improvement strategy (US outbound and domestic air)- Build initial performance dashboards for carrier KPIs across modes
Within 12 Months:
- Reduce domestic cost per shipment by 20% vs baseline through routing, pricing, and partner changes
- Achieve 98%+ on-time pickup and delivery rate across US and global carrier partners
- Scale US parcel program nationally and phase into core offering
- Launch cross-functional QBR framework with key global and domestic partners
What we're looking for:
- - Multi-Modal Expertise: Deep experience in small parcel, LTL/TL, and air freight within North America and globally. Cost-saving results with US carriers in the cross-border industry are highly preferred.
- Carrier Management: Proven history of negotiating with integrators like FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS as well as truckload, air freight, LTL and regional carriers
- Analytical Strength: Comfortable digging into rate tables, cost models, TMS data, and network simulation
- Results-Oriented Negotiator: Measurable cost savings and performance gains in prior roles
- Collaborative Communicator: Bridges logistics with operations, sales, and tech
