As Local Sales Manager, you'll lead a talented team of Account Executives while developing strategies that help clients grow using the power of broadcast television, digital marketing, OTT streaming, social media, search marketing, and targeted advertising solutions. Your leadership will directly influence revenue growth, talent development, and the success of local businesses throughout Southern Colorado. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of local Account Executives to achieve revenue and performance goals.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales and cross-functional departments to execute station objectives and maximize business growth.
  • Drive new business development across all station platforms, including broadcast, OTT, digital, mobile, social, and search solutions.
  • Utilize and champion the Scripps Sales Process (SSP), providing coaching and field support to sales team members.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans that help clients achieve marketing objectives while maximizing station revenue.
  • Negotiate rates, ratings, and advertising budgets to deliver value for clients and the station.
  • Create innovative packaging and pricing strategies that meet client needs and optimize inventory utilization.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging advertising solutions to position KKTV as the preferred media partner.
  • Partner with traffic and operations teams to ensure efficient management of airtime inventory and campaign execution.
  • Forecast revenue accurately, manage departmental expenses, oversee accounts receivable processes, and ensure financial goals are achieved.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Seven or more years of proven success in media sales, advertising sales, or related revenue-generating roles required.
  • Experience managing strategic agency and direct accounts with a strong understanding of broadcast inventory, digital advertising, and video solutions required.
  • Valid driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and proof of insurance meeting company requirements.
  • Ability to travel within the market as needed to support clients, business development, and team initiatives.

  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace applications and virtual collaboration platforms such as Zoom, WebEx, Skype, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality results.

COMPENSATION RANGE:Annual Salary: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00


 

Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in Colorado.
