eBay Live is a new way to sell on eBay, where sellers and buyers interact live on video. eBay sellers build buyer trust, expand their customer base, and grow repeat business through consistent and engaging live streams on eBay Live.

We are seeking experienced Live Commerce Category Manager to lead the electronics' category on eBay Live. You will own end-to-end efforts to expand the category, including but not exclusive to: sourcing sellers, building playbooks, running launch pilots, identifying product dependencies, etc. As the category grows, you will work closely with our sellers to help them succeed on this platform, and be responsible for delivering on achievable (but aggressive!) GMV targets. You will be responsible for advocating for your sellers, for understanding our platform and how it needs to change, and helping us build a program that scales.

Visit https://www.ebay.com/ebaylive/ to sample past events and to see what’s coming up next!

What you will accomplish:

Deliver an ambitious eBay Live GMV target for your categories

  • Act as the GM for your category on Live – building out our seller & event supply and coordinating cross functional teams to deliver success for those sellers & events

Select and onboard new sellers to eBay live

  • Conduct BD activities - meet sellers, develop pitches, come up with creative ways to engage and contract with sellers

  • Define criteria for selecting sellers to onboard to eBay Live, using pattern recognition, analytics, and merchant ‘gut’ to define who is most likely to succeed on the platform

  • Shepherd sellers through the onboarding process, helping us identify issues and create processes, tools, and workarounds to address them

Help Sellers find success on eBay live

  • Convince sellers to invest time and resources in eBay live, and help them make that investment worthwhile

  • Understand drivers of success on the eBay live platform and coach your portfolio of sellers accordingly - across assortment, live host, production, selling formats, marketing, etc.

  • Advocate for sellers with cross functional teams, come up with solutions to problems, seed new programs to help sellers be successful, lobby for them, and activate against them

Help us scale eBay live

  • Build a team of motivated, analytical, and goal-oriented category managers to deliver on  our ambitious goals

What you will bring:
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent, with 5+ years of relevant ecommerce experience working directly with sellers and retailers

  • Experience and interest in Live selling formats

  • Proven track record leading multiple priorities simultaneously with minimum guidance

  • Strong project management, organization, and partner engagement skills, including multitasking to lead and execute projects

  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with sellers and internal team members

  • Ability and willingness to travel to meet in person with accounts (up to 15% of month)

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$92,800 - $160,200
