Job Description

Job Requirements:

· 3-5+ years experience as a Linux system administrator

· Strong communication and documentation skills

· Scripting experience (python/bash/perl)

· Strong troubleshooting skills

· Comfortable with command line

· Comfortable reading logs (for example: SPLUNK or ELK)

· use of monitoring tools (ie, Icinga, Nagios)

· Strong understanding of how to create/follow a method of procedure to troubleshoot/maintain and configure systems

· comfortable working in a variety of different technology environments: web, TV and mobile; front and back-end design utilizing proprietary and open source platforms, as well as back-end administrative systems

· A nearly overpowering desire to automate balanced with a necessary amount of pragmatism

· An open mind as to how automation may be accomplished

· Video application experience is helpful but not required (i.e. Conditional Access, VOD etc)
