What You’ll Need- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a legal operations, paralegal, or project management role
- BA/BS degree in a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deadlines, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of issues and matters through their successful conclusion
- Ability and willingness to learn new software programs and tooling
- Proactive, entrepreneurial approach to solving problems and developing creative processes
We are looking for a versatile, collaborative, and proactive Legal Operations Specialist to support Opendoor’s Legal Department in day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. This role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, as well as the ability to identify and drive process improvements. The position will play a key part in supporting our litigation and product counseling group, managing licensing and regulatory matters, and optimizing legal workflows and processes, including our privacy program.
What You’ll Do- Assist Legal team members with corporate, product, privacy, and litigation work as requested or as opportunities arise
- Support the management and resolution of property-related disputes and regulatory matters, including researching and drafting written responses to claims
- Manage day-to-day privacy requests and facilitate cross-functional efforts to resolve privacy issues and escalations
- Identify, develop, implement, and continuously improve new scalable legal processes
- Coordinate collection of documents and information in response to third-party regulatory audits
- Handle insurance claim processing and management
- Support business license renewals and maintain license tracking system
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The U.S. pay range for this position in most locations is $84,800 - $119,000 annually. In the SF Bay Area of California, Seattle, and New York City Metro area the base salary range is $105,600 - $132,000. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We also offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, 12 paid holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, basic life insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
