What you'll do :
- Serve as a trusted legal and business partner for ZS stakeholders on healthcare regulatory matters affecting client engagements, and ZS products, services and strategic initiatives;
- Prepare, review, revise and negotiate regulatory provisions in legal agreements, such as services agreements, vendor agreements, and licensing agreements
- Advise internal stakeholders on healthcare laws and regulations including HIPAA, the Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark law, False Claims Act, and FDA regulations, and assist in evaluating regulatory risk for ZS
- Respond to issues as they arise in diverse matters affecting day-to-day business operations by assisting, advising, investigating, researching and resolving legal matters;
- Collaborate with others on the legal team and within ZS when subject matter expertise is required; and
- Identify potential legal issues related to proposed services, and make appropriate recommendations
What you'll bring :
- JD degree with strong academic background required
- 5+ years of experience handling U.S. healthcare regulatory matters and active bar admission in Illinois (or registered in-house counsel in IL)
- Familiarity with GxP requirements preferred
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Motivation, personal initiative and strong team/interpersonal skills
- Strong drafting skills, analytic skills and problem solving ability
- Proven attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment
