Prepare accurate payoff and reinstatement letters for foreclosure cases, manage documentation of fees and costs, communicate with clients, borrowers, and third parties, ensure legal compliance, identify process improvements, and collaborate with attorneys and paralegals.
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payoff and Reinstatement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of preparing these letters that are associated with foreclosure cases, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout the process.
Responsibilities:
- Letter preparation: Prepare accurate payoff and reinstatement letters for foreclosure cases, includes reviewing figures from our clients and our internal fees, costs and expenses that have occurred .
- Documentation Management: Maintain organized records of all items, costs, and expenses related to the letter preparation ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients regarding fees and costs, providing clear explanations and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Borrower and Third Party Communication: Answer phone calls and emails with borrowers and third parties who have interest in the property, providing clear expectations and addressing any inquiries or concerns
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to fees and costs in foreclosure proceedings.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the fees and costs management process.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to support the overall success of foreclosure cases.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a legal environment, preferably in foreclosure law.
- Strong understanding of billing procedures, cost analysis, and financial management.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, including Microsoft Excel and billing software.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania & New Jersey foreclosure laws and regulations is a plus.
- Prior mortgage industry experience a plus
