Job Description Summary

The Legal & Contracts Intern will perform a wide variety of tasks relating to Resonant’s contracts and agreements, assisting the VP, Legal in developing and improving Resonant’s contracts management system.

How will you make an impact & Requirement

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing executed contracts and agreements with customers, suppliers, vendors and other third parties.
  • Summarizing key contractual terms.
  • Filing and organizing executed contracts in electronic databases.
  • Assisting the VP, Legal in developing and improving Resonant’s contracts management system.
  • Performing other contract and legal related duties as assigned.   

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent reading comprehension and written communication skills, including the ability to concisely summarize large amounts of text.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills, including interpreting complex contractual provisions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience with SharePoint or other document management platforms preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and enrolled in an undergraduate college or university or law school.  Law school students and aspiring law school students are encouraged to apply.
  • Interested in pursuing a legal career (e.g., as an attorney or paralegal).
  • Experience working in a law firm or a corporate or non-profit legal department preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
