Job Description SummaryThe Flight Deck Lean Leader plays an integral role in executing the Company’s priorities and lean transformation. The Flight Deck Leader is a project manager, liaison, lean technician and lean coach for the execution of the company’s highest priorities. This position is expected to pull from a toolbox focused on project management, lean and facilitation skills to develop a culture of action and continuous improvement. Flight Deck is name for our Lean process for GE Aerospace and ERAC.

Roles and Responsibilities
- The Flight Deck Leader supports and works with the Leader of Strategy and Execution as well as Leadership to:
- partner with teams to execute key strategies and initiatives with a bias to action and lean mindset;
- support the establishment and implementation of procedures, policies, and strategies in support of consistency and standardization of a companywide LEAN program
- Serve as a facilitator, educator, advocate, and consultant for Lean, driving the understanding and application of Lean principles and tools across the entire business. This includes:
- Collaboration with functional teams to develop lean culture and drive continuous improvement consistent with overall company initiatives and priorities.
- Apply lean toolset in the management and execution of key priorities
- Encouraging learning and risk taking for continuous improvement
- Practice/role model project management principles and tools
- Practice/role model lean principles and tools
- Maintain proficiency in the latest Lean approaches through networking and participation in the Lean organization within GE; networking and participation with external resources, conferences, and organizations
- Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience solving problems and transforming business performance and process through the application of project management and Lean techniques.
- Lean practitioner, capable of facilitating problem solving events and coaching the core tools such as Daily Visual Management, structured Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work and Transactional Process Improvement.
- Project manager, capable of using agile and other project management methodologies to successful support execution of projects
- Proven to be effective driving outcomes as they are accountable, trustworthy, credible, committed, and intellectually agile.
- Change agent, able to show the value of lean and gain buy-in, demonstrate immediate impact and drive cultural change within the business.
- Highly collaborative person, comfortable with constructive conflict and debate normally associated with change.
- Critical thinker with the ability to bring others along, even those with conflicting priorities.

The base pay range for this position is $113,200.00 - 151,000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
