The salary range for this position is $85,950 - $105,500 per year. The base salary offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Restricted stock units will be provided as part of the compensation package.
About the Role
The Manager of Leadership Development is a key strategic role responsible for the full lifecycle of leadership programs, from design and implementation to delivery and evaluation. This person will not only facilitate training sessions but also build relationships with stakeholders to align development initiatives with business goals, and lead a team of L&D professionals. A forward-thinking mindset is essential to stay current with industry trends and technology, ensuring the Wayfairs leaders are well-equipped to drive future success.
What You'll Do- People Management: Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Leadership Development trainers with extensive leadership experience.
- Program Design & Management: Design and develop comprehensive leadership development programs, including workshops, coaching initiatives, mentoring programs, and digital learning modules.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain a 6-month roadmap for leadership development initiatives, aligning it with business priorities and talent needs.
- Needs Assessment: Partner with business leaders and HR to identify leadership skill gaps and future development needs.
- Facilitation: Facilitate engaging and impactful leadership training sessions, both in-person and virtually.
- Evaluation & Reporting: Establish metrics and evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness and business impact of all programs within remit. Provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure program alignment with strategic business goals.
- Extensive leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing and developing people.
- Demonstrated experience in a training, learning and development, adult learning, or similar role.
- A passion for empowering and mentoring leaders at all levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively consult with and influence cross-functional partners.
- A collaborative and proactive mindset, with a strong ability to build relationships and gather feedback.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience with a tiered training program or similar leadership development framework is a plus.
- Ability to connect leadership development to broader business strategy and long-term organizational goals.
- A forward-thinking mindset with a commitment to staying current on trends in leadership development and technology.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a learning & development or talent management role, with at least 2 years focused specifically on leadership development.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering impactful training programs.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design, and blended learning methodologies.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Certifications in coaching (e.g., ICF), training (e.g., ATD), or assessment tools (e.g., DISC, Hogan).
