Lead the design of user experiences by conducting research, managing a junior designer, and establishing UX standards across the organization for enterprise and consumer products.
Accurate Background helps the world’s largest employers hire with confidence.
We’re looking for a Senior / Lead UX/UI Designer to bring human-centered design into the core of how we build products. This role is a mix of hand-on and strategic.
You’ll design end-to-end experiences, conduct user research, and help define and maintain UX standards across the organization. You’ll also manage and mentor a junior designer while partnering closely with product and engineering leaders.
This is a high-impact opportunity to establish UX as a core competency at Accurate.
What You’ll Do
- Own end-to-end design: Work with Product Managers, engineers, and stakholders to translate complex problems into clear, intuitive experiences across our client portal (enterprise customers) and candidate portal (consumer users).
- Champion user research: Conduct interviews, build prototypes, usability testing, and other research methods to ground designs in customer insights and data.
- Establish standards: Build and maintain a design system, create reusable patterns, and define best practices that scale across teams.
- Shape process: Partner with Product and Engineering to integrate UX into our product development lifecycle (move from reactive screen design to proactive, strategic design involvement.)
- Lead and mentor: Provide guidance to a junior UX/UI designer, helping grow their skills while modeling best practices.
What we are looking for
- 5+ years of relevant experience in UX/UI design, with a track record of delivering enterprise products.
- Demonstrated experience building design systems and setting UX/UI standards from the ground up.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver on data-informed web and mobile experience that balance user needs and business goals.
- Experience operating independently in complex, distributed organizations while maintaining a bias for action.
- Ability to effectively communicate the “WHY” of design to cross-functional leaders.
- Proficiency with modern design and collaboration tools.
- Prior experience managing designers is strongly preferred.
- Experience with AI based design tools strongly preferred.
Why join us
- Impact at scale: Your work will touch both enterprise customers and millions of candidates going through the hiring process.
- Build from the ground up: You will have the opportunity to define how UX/UI operates with an established, global business.
- Growth & mentorship:You’ll lead and mentor a designer, with future opportunities to expand your scope as the UX function grows.
