Overview
Akeyless is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader for technical product marketing efforts. We view Technical Product Marketing as the tip of the spear to drive growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, a proven track record of building technical content, driving technical demos, enabling sales and Solutions Engineers, and working closely with product teams to lead product launches.
As a Lead Technical Product Marketing Manager at Akeyless, you will be a strategic force in articulating the value of our Unified Secrets Management & Machine Identity Platform, with deep emphasis on Secrets Management, AI Agent Security, and Machine Identity Management / Non-Human Identity (NHI) Federation. You will translate highly technical concepts into impactful content and enablement assets that support our go-to-market efforts, analyst relations, and community engagement.
This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, sales, and marketing—requiring strong technical depth, compelling storytelling, and a passion for elevating developer and enterprise security narratives in the age of cloud-native and AI-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Content Creation
- Develop high-impact content that communicates the Akeyless Platform technical differentiation.
- Own and produce detailed technical white papers, videos, surveys, blogs, tutorials, and product datasheets
Messaging & Positioning
- Distill complex features into compelling, differentiated messaging.
- Craft narratives that resonate with Information Security, DevSecOps teams, identity architects, AI/ML platform owners, and security leaders evaluating emerging threats in machine identity sprawl and agent-based automation.
Developer Relations & Community Engagement
- Actively engage with technical audiences across forums, Reddit, GitHub, Slack communities, and AI/DevOps events.
- Build awareness and gather insights on emerging AI agent security challenges and secrets sprawl.
- Create compelling demos, tutorials and walkthroughs to foster adoption of the Akeyless platform in AI and automation use cases.
Technical Sales Enablement
- Build training materials and deep-dive guides that help solution architects and sales.
- Coach teams on how to tackle tough competitive questions with clarity and precision.
Competitive Technical Analysis
- Conduct in-depth evaluations of competitive offerings (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk Conjur, AWS Secrets Manager) to identify technical gaps and value differentiation.
- Produce internal battlecards and external-facing comparisons with clear positioning around scalability, automation readiness, AI agent friendliness, and compliance assurance.
Product Demonstrations
- Participate in promotion and creation Create scenario-driven and/or verticals specific demos for use cases and solutions along with Solution engineering
Collaboration with Product & Engineering
- Act as a bridge between field-facing teams and R&D by translating customer needs into roadmap input.
- Participate in product planning and beta launches to shape content and enablement strategies from day one.
Analyst & Influencer Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with analysts (e.g., Gartner, Forrester, KuppingerCole) to elevate our technical credibility in the Secrets Management, Machine Identity Management, and AI security spaces.
- Lead analyst briefings, respond to technical inquiries, and leverage feedback to refine messaging and roadmap alignment.
- Package new feature launches and AI/NHI innovations into analyst-facing narratives that highlight Akeyless as a visionary vendor.
Requirements
- 10+ years in technical product marketing, developer advocacy, or solution engineering for cybersecurity or cloud-native platforms.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and identity security
- Exceptional writing skills and an ability to translate deeply technical concepts into clean, audience-appropriate language.
- Experience working directly with analysts, developers, and enterprise buyers.
- Passion for solving next-generation security problems in the era of AI and hyper-automation.
Base salary: $160K-$190K
In addition: Commission + Company Stock Options + Benefits
The compensation package depends on experience
