Lead Technical Consultant - Data Cloud

This role can be located anywhere in the United States with a preference for the candiate to be located near a major US Airport throughout the Midwest.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Data Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and optimize our enterprise data strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical execution of Salesforce Data Cloud (Data 360). You will build data streams, define identity resolution rules, create calculated insights using SQL, and enable marketing and sales teams to activate highly personalized customer journeys.

The ideal candidate is a "data-first" thinker who understands both the technical nuances of data architecture and the business value of a unified customer profile.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Data Ingestion & Integration

• Design and configure Data Streams to ingest data from various sources, including Salesforce CRM, Ford Pro 360 etc
• Manage data ingestion frequencies and monitor data stream health to ensure reliability.
• Utilize MuleSoft or other ETL tools to bring legacy or siloed data into the Data Cloud environment.

Data Modeling & Identity Resolution

• Map Data Lake Objects (DLOs) to the Data Model Objects (DMOs) within the Salesforce Cloud Information Model (CIM).
• Configure Identity Resolution rulesets (Match and Reconciliation rules) to deduplicate records
• Maintain and evolve the data model to accommodate new business requirements and data points.

Segmentation & Activation

• Work with Marketing teams to build segments
• Configure Activation Targets (e.g., Marketing Cloud, Amazon S3, Personalization) to push unified data back into engagement channels.
• Optimize segment refresh schedules to balance performance and data currency.

Governance & Performance

• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) by implementing proper data deletion and consent management workflows.
• Monitor system performance, credits usage, and storage limits within the Data Cloud instance.

 

Qualifications

• Salesforce Certifications:
• Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant (Highly Preferred).
