Boeing Defense Space and Security is currently looking for a Lead Stress Engineer to join their Huntsville Design Center team in Huntsville, Alabama.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Stress analysis using manual calculations and finite element analysis
  • Performing analysis to program and customer requirements and standards
  • Leading analysis and documentation
  • Working with other analysts and engineers to integrate analysis and results
  • New product development, testing and certification

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • Level 4: Typically, 9 or more years' related work experience
  • Level 5: Typically, 14 or more years' related work experience
  • 9+ years of experience performing stress analysis using manual calculations and finite element analysis
  • 9+ years of experience working with aerospace industry specifications and standards, part and/or process requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with metallic materials and metallic processes
  • 1 year or more of experience with fatigue and fracture analysis and test

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with testing, writing test plans, conducting tests, and writing test reports
  • 5+ years of experience performing stress analysis for government and industry customers
  • 5+ years of experience performing fracture analysis or damage tolerance analysis
  • Aerospace and/or Mechanical Engineer degree

Summary pay range for Lead Level 4: $ 126,650 - $ 171,350
Summary pay range for Lead Level 5: $ 154,700 - $ 209,300
