Checkr has over 100,000 customers including DoorDash, Coinbase, Lyft, Instacart, and Airtable.
We’re a team that thrives on solving complex problems with innovative solutions that advance our mission. Checkr is recognized on Forbes Cloud 100 2024 List and is a Y Combinator 2024 Breakthrough Company.

About the Role

Truework, recently acquired by Checkr, provides access to crucial employment, income information and asset information needed for mortgage loans, apartment rentals, background checks, and more. We are disrupting a $5B+ industry, dominated by legacy incumbents and outdated processes, with a better product and intense customer focus. Within Checkr, Truework operates independently, allowing rapid iteration while also being able to leverage the strengths and assets from our core business. Think of it like joining a startup within a startup!

As a Lead Solutions Engineer on the Truework team, you’ll be a strategic partner to both our Sales, Customer Success and Implementation teams, helping support our largest deals in the Top 300 lender TAM. You will be responsible for working with prospects to design and develop unique solutions that automate verification of asset, income and employment needs required for fair and trusted lending.

This role is ideal for a proven sales engineering professional who:

  • Is an experienced problem solver, who understands how technology delivers business value
  • Possess excellent communication skills, able to translate complex processes and ideas into simplified solutions
  • has experience selling transformational solutions to customers, where you can quickly identify and pattern map where and how the Truework solution can drive impact in a customer’s operation
  • who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment— ready to help close the gap between the legacy solutions and processes lending teams are leaning on and their plans and intentions to deliver competitive and streamlined processes for consumers

You will be an important part of an elite, professional, and rapidly growing cross-functional team that succeeds through collaboration, grit, and learning.

Responsibilities:

As a Lead Solutions Engineer, you will strategically partner with the Sales Team to:

  • Meet with business leaders at prospect companies to understand their business goals and articulate Truework’s value proposition
  • Meet with stakeholders across the organization, from C-Level executives to frontline employees and tailor your messaging to these audiences
  • Shape value creation for our clients through presentations, case studies, product demonstrations, pilots, solution designs, and proposals
  • Educate our prospective clients on automated verification services, explaining how other Truework customers have approached obstacles and challenges, and generally serving as the verification experts during sales cycles
  • Answer technical and compliance questions from our prospects and partners
  • Distill and communicate customer needs to the Product team and help drive product roadmap
  • Collaborate with Marketing on Case Studies, Use Cases and Marketing Events

What you bring:

  • 6+ years in related industry or SAAS
  • Mastery of the technical sales process, solution design, and proof of value execution
  • Expertise in discovery conversations, value-based selling, and world class demonstration and storytelling skills
  • Experience building rapport and working with cross functional teams spanning sales, product management, product marketing and business development
  • Ability to juggle and complete multiple priorities and projects (both internal and external) in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Willingness and Ability to travel as needed (30% or higher)

One of Checkr’s core values is Transparency. To live by that value, we’ve made the decision to disclose salary ranges in all of our job postings. We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop ranges for our roles and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
