The Technology for the Chief Operating Office (TCOO) group provides technology services for the Chief Operating Office. This includes operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions and services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and the corporate properties group. TCOO provides technology solutions and manages application portfolios for these groups to support modernization and optimization.
Within TCOO, the Fraud and Claims Technology team is seeking a Lead Software Engineer. In this role, you will develop large-scale applications supporting Voice Fraud detection. This Engineer will develop and implement scalable solutions, ensuring alignment with the enterprise standards, strategic business and product objectives. This role requires technical expertise.

Pay range for the role in Iselin NJ is from $131,000 to $206,000 depending on experience and expertise.
Pay range for the role in Charlotte NC is from $119,000 to $187,000 depending on experience and expertise.

In this role, you will:
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of complex enterprise applications
- Drive the implementation of large-scale Fraud Detection and prevention platforms, and integration with various downstream applications.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, and system design.
- Be the SME for the voice Fraud platform which includes third party platforms
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of all developed systems.
- Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
- Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
- Mentor less experienced software engineers
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong emphasis on complex enterprise solutions
- 5+ years of experience in financial and fraud prevention systems and integration
- 5+years of designing, developing, and testing large-scale systems
- Excellent communication skill both verbal and written
- Strong Python/Java development skills, particularly in financial systems
- Strong understanding of how Fraud prevention and detection systems work in a large financial and banking systems
- Demonstrated experience in designing and building large-scale, distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, system integration, and design patterns.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience working in agile, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated experience in leading the architecture, design, and development of high-performance, low-latency Java applications, as well as overseeing the implementation of large-scale data ingestion pipelines and real-time analytics platforms, is required.
