About this opportunity:
The Lead Product Manager, FWA and Cellular Technology, plays a pivotal role in our organization, driving product strategy and execution to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs and align with our business goals. This position requires a deep understanding of product management principles, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects. The Lead Product Manager will collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure the successful development and implementation of high-quality FWA solutions and cellular technology. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, owning mass market business-to-business products from ideation to launch and end of life, a strong background in cellular networking is essential for this role, along with a passion for innovation, and possess excellent communication skills.
You will work within a fun culture with a strong engineering team on the development of a wide set of features and collaborate with various teams from all over the company. You will work closely with the entire Product Management team to understand and deliver on the strategic big picture, while inherently and independently being detail-oriented, organized and driven enough to identify and produce the pieces required to put that picture together.
What you will do
  • The ideal candidate will collaborate with relevant stakeholders (Channel, Sales, Marketing, etc.) to build and execute on the next evolution of Ericsson's
  • Fixed Wireless Access offering for wireline and MNOs, including the product line and service creation strategy.
  • Define and lead the product strategy for our cellular modem portfolio, aligning with Ericsson's overall vision, market needs, and the evolving landscape of cellular technology (4G LTE, 5G, URSP/Slicing, eSIM, etc.).
  • Leverage your expertise in 3GPP standards and global conformance standards, such as PTCRB and GCF, and proactively integrate compliance and evolving cellular specifications to guide product development and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends in cellular technology, changes in cellular specifications, competitor offerings, customer requirements, and global Mobile Network Operator (MNO) network evolution roadmaps.
  • Foster strong relationships and actively collaborate with key technical and business contacts at leading MNOs worldwide.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to define and document product specifications.
  • Track and analyze product performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on the product roadmap accordingly.
  • Utilize our vast metrics and customer-focused data sets alongside your own market research to continually find the next big growth opportunity, explore the latest industry trends and features to propose ideas on how we can bring them to our service
  • Partnering with engineering, design, data science, analytics, marketing, and other key groups to release world-class hardware, features, and functionality, measure the success of products and strategize iterative improvements by defining requirements for products and features by writing detailed use cases that capture user needs and scenarios.
  • Own release management, including writing and distributing product briefs and managing releases.
  • Partner with our Customer Support and Success teams to champion users, understanding and prioritizing their feedback, investigate and resolve technical issues.
  • Monitor the progress of tickets, clear blockers, and answer business/product questions for the development team.

The skills you bring
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in product management
  • Demonstrated expertise in 3GPP standards and the ability to translate them into product requirements.
  • Deep understanding of global regulatory standards for cellular devices, including PTCRB and GCF.
  • In-depth knowledge of eSIM and Network Slicing (URSP) technology and its role in cellular connectivity solutions.
  • Experience working with global MNOs and understanding their certification requirements, network evolution roadmaps and specific requirements
  • Familiarity with usage/utility-based provisioning and pricing models
  • Experience defining managed service solutions for existing CapEx or OpEx solutions
  • Experience defining Cloud service offers and/or service catalogs for IaaS, PaaS or SaaS.
  • Data-driven mindset with a strong understanding of product lifecycle management.
  • Bachelor's degree in various fields of study is applicable. Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, project management or equivalent experience
  • Location: Boise, ID or Santa Clara, CA preferred
• Travel: Up to 20%

The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
