About the Role

As AI search reshapes how brands think about visibility, authority, and the value of earned media, we’re looking for a Lead Product Manager, Platform Reporting to define and build the reporting framework that helps Stacker clients understand the impact of every story they publish through the platform.

AI search visibility is a channel still being defined, and the measurement frameworks around it are evolving quickly. In this role, you’ll own the methodology, metrics, reporting experiences, and strategic direction behind our client-facing reporting products, starting with AI search visibility (GEO) and expanding over time into broader content performance and earned media insights.

You’ll work cross-functionally with Data Science, Engineering, Design, and client-facing teams to shape a reporting platform that helps brands understand how they show up in AI search and other emerging discovery environments. You’ll partner closely with Revenue teams to surface insights that retain and grow accounts, and collaborate with Engineering to ship reporting experiences that clients find genuinely useful and intuitive.

This is a senior individual contributor role with significant autonomy and influence. It requires someone equally comfortable thinking strategically about the future of AI-driven search and rolling up their sleeves to pressure-test datasets, write detailed PRDs, run client betas, and align stakeholders around roadmap priorities.

For product leaders energized by ambiguity, emerging technology, and meaningful ownership, this is an opportunity to build in a fast-moving space at exactly the right moment.

About Stacker

Stacker is revolutionizing the traditional newswire business model and the ways in which brand newsrooms and publishers connect. Our platform helps over 100 content contributors - brands, nonprofit newsrooms, and others - extend the reach of their content by seamlessly integrating with a network of thousands of trusted news publishers.

Stacker helps brands get their stories in front of more readers by syndicating content across a large-scale publisher network, enabling organizations to expand the reach and impact of their earned and owned media.

As a bootstrapped, fast-growing company, we're resourceful, innovative, and committed to building an inclusive, equitable culture. We are a remote-first team that values ownership, integrity, and collaboration—offering flexible schedules, unlimited vacation, an employee equity program, and full health & dental coverage. We champion long-term impact over short-term gains and believe in empowering our team with autonomy and opportunities for career growth.

What You’ll Do

· Own the reporting product strategy: Define and evolve Stacker’s client reporting roadmap, with an initial focus on GEO/AI visibility and long-term expansion into a comprehensive reporting suite.

· Drive feature development from concept to launch: Write clear PRDs and user stories, prioritize initiatives, and partner with engineering and design teams through development, QA, and release.

· Build meaningful AI visibility reporting: Define the methodologies, metrics, visualizations, and client narratives that help brands understand performance within AI search ecosystems.

· Partner closely with Data Science: Analyze reporting data across stories and campaigns to uncover insights that improve product experiences, support case studies, and shape educational content.

· Lead client-informed product discovery: Monitor feedback trends, run beta programs, and synthesize client use cases to identify opportunities, friction points, and roadmap priorities.

· Align stakeholders across the business: Keep leadership, client-facing teams, and cross-functional partners informed on roadmap decisions, release timelines, and long-term investments.

· Monitor the evolving SEO and GEO landscape: Track industry trends, competitive tooling, and changes in AI-driven discovery to inform strategic product direction and investment opportunities.

· Strengthen external ecosystem relationships: Maintain productive partnerships with SEO/GEO tooling providers and industry experts to stay ahead of emerging themes and feature opportunities.

About You

You’re a strategic product thinker who thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and enjoys translating emerging trends into clear, actionable product experiences. You’re energized by solving difficult measurement problems, especially in spaces where industry standards are still evolving. Rather than waiting for perfect clarity, you’re comfortable forming hypotheses, validating them with data and customers, and iterating quickly.

You combine analytical rigor with strong product intuition. You’re equally comfortable discussing methodology with Data Science, collaborating with Engineering on implementation details, and communicating roadmap priorities to executives or client-facing teams. You care deeply about creating intuitive, beautifully designed products that make complex information accessible and valuable to users.

We welcome candidates from a variety of backgrounds—including product management, SEO, analytics, martech, or media technology—but the people who succeed in this role tend to have strong ownership instincts, exceptional communication skills, and a genuine curiosity about how AI is transforming search, content, and earned media.

What You’ll Bring

· 4+ years of experience in product management, client reporting and analytics, agency SEO, or adjacent product-building roles, ideally within media, data, or marketing technology.

· Strong familiarity with the SEO, content marketing, martech, and AI visibility (GEO) ecosystem.

· Hands-on experience with tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Similarweb, Profound, Airops, Peec.ai, or comparable SEO/GEO platforms.

· Understanding of how AI search works—including LLMs, retrieval systems, and citations—and how those dynamics intersect with content strategy, PR, earned media, and SEO.

· Demonstrated success leading strategic, cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across multiple teams.

· Analytical fluency and comfort working directly with datasets using tools like Google Sheets, SQL, or BI platforms to evaluate methodologies and uncover insights.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior stakeholders and client-facing teams.

Nice-to-Haves

· 2+ years working with AI, automation, or data-intensive products.

· Experience writing PRDs and collaborating directly with engineering and design teams throughout full product build cycles.

· Background in B2B SaaS products with client-facing dashboards, portals, or reporting experiences.

· Experience creating enablement materials and training go-to-market teams.

· Established relationships or network within the SEO, GEO, or AI search ecosystem.

· Familiarity with content performance measurement, data storytelling, and client-facing insight reporting.

· Experience running beta programs or structured client feedback loops to inform product decisions.
