Lead Pricing Analyst

Position Summary:

KBR-National Security Solutions is seeking a Lead Pricing Analyst to join our team of dedicated professionals. The selected individual will support KBR-National Security Solution’s Business Divisions to prepare compliant and competitive Price Proposals while collaborating with HR, Finance, Contracts and other allied functional support teams. The Lead Pricing Analyst may work a hybrid telework flexible schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Lead Pricing Analyst duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Leads and/or manages major and complex cost proposals generally valued at $50M+
  • Applies a broad knowledge of general financial analysis and Government proposal Pricing techniques to a variety of complex business proposal solutions, primarily in support of professional services
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews of cost-models and supporting data for your proposals and periodically for Department colleague proposals
  • Draft and finalize Cost/Price proposal narratives to substantiate cost and pricing approach and data in compliance with all RFP Section L criteria
  • Conducts basic Price to Win analysis and prepares Pricing Strategies tailored to individual strategic bids
  • Develops and presents price assumptions, financial summaries, and risk assessment to senior leadership prior to proposal submission
  • Collaborate and support functional support staff from Contracts, Subcontracts, HR, Finance, etc. to deliver compliant and competitive price proposals
  • Prepares special reports and analysis as required
  • Provides strategic focus to all proposal efforts to ensure alignment with Section M RFP criteria and support Business Unit growth/profit objectives
  • Provide guidance to Program Managers and opportunity owners to ensure Section L requirements are followed
  • Provides work leadership and proposal pricing guidance to other pricing analysts
  • Provide guidance for less experienced team members on compliance-related issues
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 or more years of direct government pricing experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of direct government pricing practices, cost and price analysis, and FAR and CAS regulations
  • Proven track record of accurate and compliant proposals
  • Cost/Price proposal narrative writing and subsequent experience responding to Pricing evaluation notices, final proposal revisions, etc.
  • Comfortable presenting pricing strategy recommendations to senior leadership
  • Comprehensive organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen to make sound financial analysis decisions/recommendations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced MS Excel skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

  • Management of junior to mid level pricing analysts

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

40 hours per week

Basic Compensation:

$140K - $170K

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
