Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated hands-on Software Development Manager to join our dynamic team at CFS. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in C++, Linux systems, CGI scripting, and SQL databases. You will be responsible for architecting and developing high-performance backend systems, leading a small team of developers, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver mission-critical applications. The candidate must have a strong understanding of an AI IDE and how to leverage it to accelerate software development projects.

Key Responsibilities :
- Design & Development -Lead the design, development, and optimization of high-performance server-side applications using C++ on Linux.
- Develop and maintain CGI scripts for web-based integrations. - Implement efficient SQL queries and stored procedures for application data management.
- Manage a team of software engineers, fostering best practices in coding, design, and system architecture.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to secure and scalable coding standards.
- Work closely with product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to define product requirements and deliver robust features.
- Act as a key technical liaison across departments to align development efforts with business goals. Prioritize, manage and groom the backlog based on product management and leadership guidance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments.
- Monitor application performance and suggest improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Expertise
- Strong proficiency in C++ (11/14/17 preferred).
- Solid experience with Linux-based development environments and shell scripting. - Hands-on knowledge of CGI programming using C++ or Perl.
- Strong command of SQL, including complex joins, indexing, and performance tuning.
Professional Experience
- 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
- Proven track record of shipping scalable, reliable, and maintainable code.
Soft Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interface with external customers and partners and represent CFS across external stakeholder groups on an ad-hoc basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with RESTful APIs and web application frameworks.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and automated build pipelines.
