Lead the design, development, and maintenance of PACS applications. Ensure system functionality, security, and integration with other systems while managing software upgrades and providing training to staff. Responsible for troubleshooting and overseeing PACS projects.
Lead Engineer – Imaging designs, develops, tests and maintain organization’s PACS applications to ensure smooth and secure operation. This role is responsible for ensuring the functionality, security, and efficiency of all PACS systems within the organization.
Essential Functions:- Design, develop, and maintain PACS applications, ensuring they meet specific requirements and adhere to best practices
- Maintain high availability and support of all PACS systems in the organization
- Perform regular backup of PACS systems
- Manage software upgrades
- Identifying and resolving technical issues, including software glitches and hardware problems.
- Providing training to lab staff on using the PACS apps and offering technical support for common issues.
- Ensuring seamless integration of the PACS with other systems, such as electronic medical records (EMR) and reference lab
- Ensuring the PACS adheres to relevant regulations and quality standards.
- Lead and execute projects related to PACS systems
- Conduct thorough testing of the system changes to identify and resolve bugs, ensuring the quality and reliability of the applications.
- Document work, creating documentation, flowcharts, diagrams, and code comments to improve maintainability and collaboration
- Mentoring junior engineers/developers and providing technical guidance.
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in PACS apps such as Infinitt
- Understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and coding best practices.
- The ability to analyze complex problems, develop solutions, and troubleshoot issues.
- The ability to effectively communicate technical information and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and debugging tools.
- Familiarity with HealthCare applications, SQL , and project management methodologies.
- Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- 10-15 years of experience as PACS system admin for Infinitt
- 10+ years of experience in PACS admin
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, information systems MIS, or related field.
- Experience working in Agile project management methodologies
- Experience working in ServiceNow Agile, Jira, Excel, .Net
- Knowledge in Power Apps is a plus
