Qualifications:
USD 99,000.00 - 165,000.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $99,000.00 - $165,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
Benefits:
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.

Responsibilities:
Lead Strategy & Innovation
- Design, build and execute bold, data-informed audience strategies.
- Develop and scale AI-powered content workflows that improve content quality and team effectiveness.
- Launch innovative new multimedia content tailored to your brand.
- Mentor Senior Editorial Strategist.
Drive Partnerships & Grow the Brand
- Develop and execute strategies to increase visibility across the media ecosystem, monthly unique visitors, and increase engagement in every channel.
- Cultivate internal and external partnerships that expand reach.
- Align content with business goals and brand voice.
- Identify and act on earned media opportunities.
- Grow content distribution through earned media, syndication, and strategic partnerships.
- Build a professional social media presence that reflects your work.
- Build community through social media and audience engagement.
Measure What Matters
- Own traffic performance for Kelley Blue Book and tell the story of the value we're creating to our internal teams.
- Optimize content for AI-powered search engines and digital agents in ways that increase visibility.
- Ensure stories are structured for inclusion in AI summaries, voice assistants, and generative search results.
- Track and improve performance across social platforms, aggregators, and third-party channels.
- Track KPIs: audience growth, engagement, content velocity.
Champion Culture & Collaboration
- Foster a culture of curiosity, clarity, and continuous learning through direct action and the mentorship of others.
- Collaborate across the content and search organization as well as the product, sales, and marketing teams.
- Develop industry and earned media relationships that improve our brand's reputation.
- Model emotionally intelligent leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years' experience in a related field.
- Strong proficiency with AI, analytics, and multimedia tools.
- Proven success in audience development and content innovation.
- Passion for journalism, storytelling, and the automotive space.
- Clear communicator with a bias for action.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset.
- Advanced skills in analytical thinking, consulting, data gathering and reporting, effective presentations and managing multiple priorities.
- Advanced skills in collaborating with intent, driving innovation, engaging others, focusing on execution, and striving for excellence.
