Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Credit Portfolio Consultant to support Commercial Banking through hands-on oversight of data process and data remediation activities. This role ensures the integrity and accuracy of data across lending systems, supports reporting the data, and acts as a backup across multiple functions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues.
In this role, you will:

Eligible for discretionary annual bonus.

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Credit Portfolio Consultant to support Commercial Banking through hands-on oversight of data process and data remediation activities. This role ensures the integrity and accuracy of data across lending systems, supports reporting the data, and acts as a backup across multiple functions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee and perform daily operations related to:
- Commitment to Commit (CTC)
- 14M Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting
- Streamlined Elastic Workflow Assistant (SEWA)
- Commercial Banking Email Box Issues Management
- Act as a working lead and a backup for all functions within scope, ensuring continuity and consistency of service.
- Serve as a Data Steward, ensuring data quality, compliance, and remediation across systems of origin and systems of record.
- Collaborate with Application Business Owners, Data Defect, Control Monitoring to support system changes, enhancements, and ensure accurate reflection of business processes.
- Participate in system conversion initiatives and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate business requirements.
- Assess and document downstream impacts of system changes on reporting and analytics.
- Maintain and update data dictionaries, desktop procedures, and documentation related to data element usage.
- Conduct data monitoring routines, research and resolve data deficiencies, and support remediation efforts.
- Represent the business in data initiatives, audits, and control reviews.
- Drive process improvements and standardization across credit portfolio operations and data governance activities.
- 5+ years of Credit Consulting Portfolio experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Strong understanding of Commercial Banking data and lending systems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and provide support to more junior team members.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience supporting system changes and performing UAT.
- 4+ years of experience in data management and governance.
- Familiarity with risk and regulatory reporting frameworks.
- Experience with data quality principles and remediation strategies.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including LOB leaders, ABOs, control group, reporting teams, and technology partners.
- Familiarity with SQL, writing macros, utilizing Power BI, Tableau, or data querying tools
- Working knowledge of WCDIR and iHub.
