About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Compensation Consultant within the Incentive Compensation Center of Excellence of our Total Rewards space. This position will play a critical role with Line of Business leaders to design and develop incentive plans that align with business objectives, enterprise behavioral expectations and key performance indicators. In addition, this role will closely collaborate with control to ensure plan design aligns with the Corporate Risk Management Framework.

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$119,000.00 - $206,000.00

In this role, you will:
- Partner with Line of Business (LOB) leadership as an internal consultant strategizing to develop incentive compensation programs that are risk balanced and aligned with line of business goals and objectives.
- Ability to Resolve complex issues where analysis requires an evaluation of tangible and intangible variance factors using financial and metrics data.
- Review and analyze complex, multi-faceted, large scale, and long-term business, operational, or technical challenges that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
- Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that influence and lead a broader work team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and middle-level to executive leadership managers to resolve issues and achieve the goals of goals of total rewards and compensation philosophy.
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor as needed.
- 5+ years of Compensation experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- Experience with design of formulaic incentive compensation plans.
- Strong knowledge of compensation design principles.
- Familiarity with financial services industry.
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements surrounding incentive compensation and risk management.
- Ability to collaborate with risk and control partners.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to drive and lead organizational changes in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Outstanding problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Familiar with building and developing relationships in a virtual and geographically dispersed environment.
- Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members.
- Position will require onsite presence at one of the required locations listed below in a hybrid work schedule.
- Flexibility to support global teams across time zones.
