The Role
This role works as a member of the Enterprise development team in the design and development of complex and scalable software solutions for the cloud. As a technical leader, they will collaborate with development teams and others to ensure designs utilize state-of-the-art technologies, methodologies, and development environments. A major focus will be on guiding efforts in the migration of existing, traditionally on-premises products to the Cloud.
Job Duties:
- Lead their team in the delivery of work against the agreed upon definition of completion
- Lead team in creating coding standards, best practices documentation, and quality release notes
- Lead team in defining and adhering to processes around team agreements, schedule, and rules of engagement while holding them accountable to act on retrospective action items
- Be a Subject Matter Expert for the development team
- Prepare for, attend, and participate in all agile scrum meetings
- Prepare for, present, and oversee formal design and code reviews
- Provide technical and work guidance to the team, actively ensuring production of quality code and advocating toward delivering high quality solutions the first time
- Lead framework planning and discussion sessions
- Assist with architecture designs and decisions
- Interact and communicate on a technical level with external entities to ensure compliance with requirements and accreditation for application releases
- Communicate with and conduct software demonstrations for internal and external customers
- Research and present new ideas, technologies, and concepts to their team and develop plans for remediation
- Use their excellent understanding of product framework and infrastructure to make recommendations for improvement
- Develop framework level classes and implement changes without compromising the system
- Select appropriate platforms and tools to support the needs of project initiatives
- Make suggestions for foundation object changes and develop new objects to include in foundation classes
- Identify refactoring opportunities and technical debt issues to bring to the Product Owner
- Perform peer testing of functional changes
- Develop test scripts, design test plans, and create testing tools and QA documentation
- Design systems with unit and automation testing in place to ensure software quality
- Work closely with Support to effectively diagnose field escalated issues and identify appropriate resolutions
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of professional development experience delivering cloud applications on AWS or Microsoft Azure
- Expert knowledge of C# and .NET Core, Angular, EntityFramework, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, gRPC, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL
- Expert knowledge of Scrum values, principles, and practices and ability to mentor other Scrum Masters
- Expert understanding of software architecture, principles, and common design patterns
- Expert knowledge in the analysis and design of tables, databases, and relationships using standard normalization rules
- Expert in writing efficient database queries and analyzing them for performance optimization
- Expert in writing unit tests for validations and calculations in functions/methods
- Comprehensive knowledge of unit test mocking and can apply mocking concepts to improve unit test quality and performance
- Expert in performance tuning and solving complex optimization issues
- Self-starter who can work independently in a self-managed team environment
- Ability to lead functional areas, organize the team, provide light coaching and direction, assign tasks, and measure deliverables
- Understand the value of effective communication and work as part of a team to promote communication within it
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
CJIS Clearance
A required part of the onboarding process for this role involves obtaining CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) clearance—a critical credential for safeguarding public safety data. At CentralSquare, we’ll stand with you every step of the way to secure this clearance should you be selected for hire. As part of the process, a comprehensive background check will be conducted, and please note that U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is generally required to obtain CJIS clearance.
