Lead, Business Development

BibRave Overview

BibRave is an influencer and experiential marketing agency that specializes in fitness, outdoor, and lifestyle verticals. With 10 years’ experience building and managing influencers and ambassador communities for large and small companies, BibRave brings a team of strategic social media, creative, and online community-focused experts.

BibRave also crafts bold and memorable experiences, developing creative events and in-person activations, managing ideation, project management, procurement, execution, and inter-agency coordination.

Position Summary

BibRave is seeking a relationship-driven, commercially minded Lead for Business Development to help drive agency growth. This role owns the external-facing side of new business; identifying, cultivating, and advancing opportunities with brands, agencies, and partners across BibRave's core competencies (influencer marketing, experiential marketing, digital marketing).

The right person is a natural connector and thoughtful salesperson: someone who knows how to open doors, build trust, pursue leads with tenacity, uncover client needs, and move opportunities forward through outreach, discovery calls, and pitch strategy.

This role partners closely with BibRave Leadership and Sales Operations. Sales Operations supports pipeline tracking, pricing coordination, proposal development, CRM/admin, and contracting, freeing this role to stay focused on prospecting, relationship development, and revenue growth.

This is a fully remote role reporting to BibRave Leadership. Compensation includes a Base Salary + Commission (commission structure tied to new business revenue, details shared during interview process).
What You’ll Do

New Business Development

  • Identify and prioritize prospective clients, agencies, partners, and business units aligned with BibRave's services and growth goals.
  • Build outreach strategies across categories; initially fitness, running, outdoor, wellness, and lifestyle, expanding into adjacent and non-endemic categories over time.
  • Initiate and nurture prospect relationships through email, LinkedIn, warm introductions, calls, referrals, and industry events.
  • Maintain a steady flow of qualified opportunities into the pipeline.
  • Stay current on industry trends, brand priorities, and sponsorship or marketing needs that could inform outreach.

Sales Conversations & Relationship Building

  • Lead introductory, discovery, and sales calls with prospective clients.
  • Ask thoughtful questions to uncover goals, budgets, timelines, and decision-making processes.
  • Communicate BibRave's capabilities and point of difference in a way tailored to each prospect.
  • Build trust with decision-makers, agency partners, and brand stakeholders.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up across longer sales cycles.

Pitch Strategy & Closing Support

  • Partner with Leadership and Sales Operations to shape proposal strategy and positioning.
  • Translate prospect needs into strong scopes, pitch materials, and sales narratives.
  • Lead pitch meetings and proposal walk-throughs.
  • Manage objections around pricing, scope, timing, and expected outcomes.
  • Support negotiation conversations alongside BibRave Leadership.

Internal Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales Operations to keep opportunities, next steps, and revenue forecasts accurately tracked.
  • Partner with Influencer and Experiential Leads to ensure pricing and scope considerations are reflected in pitches.
  • Keep Leadership informed on pipeline health, prospect feedback, and major opportunities.
  • Support clean internal handoffs once new business is won.

What We're Looking For
Mapped to our five Core Competencies

Ownership & Accountability

  • Owns the pipeline like it's their own business, nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Spots a stalling deal early and knows when to push, adjust, or move on.

Bias for Action

  • Doesn't wait for a warm lead to land in their inbox, creates the opening.
  • Picks up the phone, sends the email, books the call. Momentum over perfection.

Excellence in Execution

  • Sharp, tailored pitches, never a generic deck.
  • Crystal-clear communication with prospects, from first outreach to final contract.
  • Manages a long, multi-threaded sales cycle without losing the plot.

Collaboration & Relationships

  • Builds real trust with decision-makers, not just contacts.
  • Reads the room in a sales conversation and adjusts the pitch on the fly.

Growth & Evolution

  • Curious about what's actually driving a client's "no", and what would turn it into a "yes."

We require…

  • 5-8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, agency sales, sponsorship sales, client services, account management, influencer marketing, experiential marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to build and nurture client or partner relationships.
  • Experience selling or shaping service-based work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence leading discovery calls and sales conversations — and the fearlessness to initiate a conversation and pitch to anyone, at any level.
  • Strong follow-through and comfort managing multiple opportunities at once.
  • Commercial judgment around opportunity fit, revenue potential, timing, and likelihood to close.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
  • Experience or interest in fitness, running, outdoor, wellness, or lifestyle brands is a strong plus.

Perks & Benefits

  • Health, Dental and Vision Insurance
  • Flexible time off
  • 401(k)
  • Fully remote
  • Front-row seat to a rapidly growing fitness, running, and wellness industry
  • Professional development directly from BibRave leadership
  • Occasional free gear and accessories (yes, really)
  • A team that's genuinely fun. We love food, tech, ice cream, coffee, beer, and staying active
